Still diggin my Hathor 1544 Duke !
I've added a handy (over the shoulder) carry strap and black grill cloth over the stock 15" grill.

My build time was longer than 2 months, although it was totally worth it. I ordered mine almost a year and a half ago. During that time Duke was super busy, plus it was during my cab builds that he had an accident that seriously slowed down his production.
I can say with confidence that Duke has great customer service and I wouldn't hesitate to order from him again (and that might happen depending on what he has coming down the road).
As threatened, I placed a Hathor 1203 on order a couple weeks ago. Duke told me about 8 weeks at that time.
I always reserve final judgement until I get things out on a gig. Steubig came over and we put it through its paces in different combinations. They sound very different. The H1203 is more open sounding with some crunch, the MAS109 is more focused down low and a bit thicker in the low mids. Together I think they sound fantastic, and Mike put a low-pass filter on one of the jacks so I can use the MAS109 as a "sub woofer" for the H1203.
Great form factor on the MAS109, but the H1203 remains an amazing cabinet. It still defies the laws of physics. But the combo of the two is pretty damn huge.

Mike has been wanting me to send him a Hathor 1203 to try out with his 109 and I just haven't gotten caught up enough to be able to do that, so thank you nostatic for trying it out! I suspect Mike's 109 will pair up nicely with other cabs as well.

Above, Thumper is responding to an optional "4/8 ohm" switch that I described in post number 2858, which was made in response to a question by staccatogrowl.
I'm not sure that the "4/8 ohm" switch as described in post 2858 would allow its cab to safely be paired with the original (4-ohm) Thunderchild 115 using a '"4 ohm minimum" amp. On the other hand, taking into account the fact that the original 4-ohm TC115 is a "high 4 ohms" load, and with the benefit of having the impedance curves available to me, imo the original (4-ohm) TC115 can be safely paired with either a Hathor 1203 or 8-ohm Thunderchild 112, if the amp is indeed safe to use with a "4-ohm" load.

After studying dozens of cabs for months, I believe the best cab for me for the buck would be the H1203. Unbelievable value! And the weight and size is such a bonus.
I think the 4/8 ohm switch is a great feature and I would pay for it, although eventually I would want 2 cabs so that switch would be moot.
For the design factor, I find it addictively simple, minimal, understated and utilitarian. It's an artistic statement in itself. Did I say I love the look???
About a logo: I'm torn between the full name and the stylized silver logo. Maybe leaning towards the name because as was mentioned, that is not as obscure as the logo, and a quick look by another bass player watching in the audience could see the name clearly and make inquiries through the interweb later.
Judging by all the love shown on TB and the fact that Duke's orders have an 8 week lead time I'm hoping he's busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger! If there's an excellent product like this, professionals from all styles will use it and word of mouth will make it successful. I'm excited about the product and I've never seen one live!

All great points. Duke is certainly a busy man as it stands, but i do think that a full AudioKinesis logo would spark a whole lot of additional business, and send him into next level growth. As it stands, I imagine that most people in an audience simply think that an AK user is running through PA speakers, so it's def a "leaving money in the table" type of scenario (Duke are you listening)..albeit, I do like the logoless look.
Also, if you're considering the H1203 you should be aware that the 4/8 ohm switch is not an option on that cab...(at least according to the AK website).
This is very true. I cannot begin to tell you how many people have come up to me at gigs to complement me on my tone, and then questioning what kind of PA speakers am I playing through? Sometimes they even ask if I'm playing through DJ speakers and can't believe that DJ speakers sound that good! Lol! So then obviously I give them the whole rundown, website, etc for info. But I do agree that a logo would be beneficial for Duke marketing wise.
Duke your a wonderful person, your work and dedication is impeccable, and I think we would all love to see you get the recognition and financial gain from the fruits of your labor and design.
I also think by not marketing your design you are doing a disservice to the bass community. You are denying a lot of players pure tonal bliss who are truly unaware of your cabs. After all we all want to achieve tonal bliss? I know I have since I started using your cabinets!
