Tuki is a great company to deal with. They will make anything for you as long as you provide the measurements. The quality is really good and the price is reasonable.

I purchased my TC 112 cover from them as well. When I bought my 1203's last year, I called Tuki instantly for covers. At that time, no one had requested a cover for a 1203, so they didn't have them. They worked with me over the phone and walked me through what they needed measurement wise to make the cover. A week later I received them and they fit perfect. Excellent customer service!

The funny thing is I had told them a lot of players from TB will probably be calling for these, and that I would inform everyone on the forum (which I did a year ago). They were thankful and said they would post the covers on their website. Ironically I don't think anyone ever called them about a 1203 cover, and probably why they never bothered posting it to their website.

Perhaps now since he is getting a few orders for them that will change.

Are you sure the Le cover listed on the website is padded? Does it have the Velcro strap around the bottom? If so, and if it's the same quality as the Tuki, well then I say you scored yourself a sweet deal. All the Le covers I had in the past were not padded.

Its been a while since I looked but I thought they priced out similarly when padding option is added.

Cool. I'm really careful with my gear too. I haul everything myself. If I knew I could have had a padded cover for $30 less I would have jumped on it too! :thumbsup:

That was my experience. Unfortunately, both Lecover products I received had minor problems with them. That was at least a decade ago, and I'm sure Larry would have made good if I had pressed the issue. I don't think those problems were or are at all typical, and I would probably still buy from him again if the price was substantially lower than the competition.

I've probably ordered 6 - 8 padded covers from Lecover, as well as owning a few Tukis that someone else ordered. Their fit, quality & durability is very similar - both very good. Larry's service is excellent as well. I'd be surprised if their prices varied much, but I haven't checked lately.

Kustom KXB-500 currently, TH500 previously. The KXB wins for punch and clarity and even nicely pushed tones. The TH500 overdrives more but I never found my sound with it

yep. @nostatic has used a few things. i think he's using the glockenklang blue soul for his hathor. sounds good. similar to the puma but a little different.


he also has new mesa head. imo, it's voiced more like an old school bass head than the puma is. doesn't quite have the crosstalk in the overtones that i get out of my puma (yours is the older version, i think).

i tried a gk fusion 500 and it was just way too much high end for what i want. could never really knock it down for the sound i like.there are attractive points to it, but it never really worked for me.

The low end isn'isn't a big issue. It's more that the amp is SO clean and smooth that it doesn't punch through when I need it to (with this cab). I plugged it into an old SWR 410 for a gig once and my sound was so punchy and powerful. I don't need that much punch (or volume) but a little punchier sound sometimes when I need it would be great.
