AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

Just finished reading the 5206 posts that comprise this thread...WHEW!!

In a related story, I'm about 2 weeks away from being an AudioKinesis owner!!!
Welcome to the family. It would take a LOT to get me away from AK gear. My two 112's can handle probably anything except a serious outdoor venue, but I would be counting on major pa support there. I have 0 cab gas, except for possible a Hathor with a 15.

The only cab gas I've had was for a 3rd hathor. But I got it and realized I didn't need it. And just to save someone the trouble...

Cab Gas will be opening for nostatic this weekend.
Nice lol. I can't see a need for a third Hathor. The amount of the low end that the 112's puts out never fails to amaze me. If I played outdoor venues all the time and was a touring pro I could see having two 118's just to have punishing volume. But having a rig that I can load in by myself by grabbing a cab in each hand, that also has bottom end for days, that doesn't kill my back, is ALL I ever wanted from my cabs.

I want in! Just got my Hathor 1533 and my Hathor 1203...simply AMAZING cabs.
My cab GAS is gone. Hopefully for a long long time!

I would love to hear that Demeter. I bet it sounds amazing. But your pic makes me glad I only have the 1203 and tc 112. It would be a bummer to try to fit the 1533 in my car along with the 1203.

Lookin' good
That Demeter is a bit bright for my taste but sounds outstanding with a 1203.
Even though it's not my first choice for live use, I can't let it go. The d.i. sounds so great for recording.

I'm still trying to decide if the next cab purchase will be a Hathor 212 or 1533. It'll probably require a phone call with Duke once I am ready to pull the trigger. Aside from the obvious differences one might expect with increased speaker surface area and box size, do you have any comments on the 1203 vs. 1533 sound?

This is the lifestyle I would like to live. Except I would put my 1203 sideways on top of the 1533 so that it's almost amp width.

The 1533 is a BEAST! Sounds incredible alone with my Demeter and I also have a Eich 1000. The Eich in mono bridge 1000 watt 4 ohm on the 1533 is even more incedidble than the Demeter. To me the 1533 sounds very similar to the 1203 and EQ's even better. It goes deeper than the 1203 and is of course MUCH louder/more SLAM. It's truely a 1 cab solution especially when in 4 ohm mode. The 4/8 ohm switch is awesome feature to have. In fact I prefer the 1533 right now and am usually not a huge fan of 15's...much prefer 12's.

Thank you very much!

I think you're the first bass player in deep Cajun country to be using my cabs.

On my wish list is a little brother to the H1203-- the H1003! A cab with a 10" woofer and 3" Faital. Two of those with a Class D head would be a Mini Rig of Doom!

Funny you should say that. I've been resisting doing a 110 for years, but now there's one "in the pipeline". It's not exactly going to be a "Hathor 1003", but it will have some things in common with the Hathor series.
