AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I have read thru this thread and understand that the 1203 type cab uses the Eminence 3012LF.. That is a potent driver.
In theory I think that a Pair of the 1203T cabs can and will exceed the output of almost ALL 410 type cabs, by a fairly large margin!
My current 3015 style 2 way cab has about 505 cm^3 of displacement.
I guess the cm^3 is NOT the only thing to consider in cab design.. I am NOT an expert.. Im a bass player, that can fiddle with some simple math.. So i may be completely wrong with my calculations below..

I have been doing some Math.. PLEASE feel free to correct me if i am wrong... I am NOT an expert with this.

Eminence 3012LF
• Xmax peak = 9.10 mm
• Sd = 545.4 cm^2
Volume Displacement -Vd = 545.4 x 0.910mm = 496.3 cm^3

But when TWO 1203T's are used together , that would be about 992 cm^3 !
That's a pile of AIR if i calculated correctly..
So it seems these cabs can deliver some decent low end while having articulation too.!.

Just got the confirm that a 1203 is on its way to be delivered Thursday. :)

Unfortunately, while I’m out of town. :(

Really looking forward to getting back and putting it through its paces, just in time for the St. Pat’s run. I get 24 hours home before it comes along on the next circuit.

For the record, Duke is the easiest guy in the world to work with. Regardless of how good the Hathor is going to sound, the buying process was simple as could be and he took the time to answer all of my questions first.

Sorry I have been so scarce, my home internet connection is now stone cold dead, so I'm at a public library right now. If my internet service provider cannot fix it with their service call tomorrow, I will have to switch to a satellite system. In the meantime I'm working on filling orders.

More than likely the best way to contact me for the next few days will be my cell phone, which is the 504 number on the contact page on my website.

Thanks so much for your patience my friends!!

Duke, hang in there. We support you.

However, though you might like visiting your public library sometimes, consider this alternative: use your cellphone as a hot spot.

They used to call it "tethering". Basically it's the technique of using a cellphone as a modem, so that other devices (such as a personal computer) can connect to internet via the phone's connection.

The exact way to do this varies by cellphone operating system. You're quite technical, I know. :D But if 1. your cellphone does have solid internet connection when you're at home, and 2. you can't make it work as a hot spot, then 3. email or PM me; maybe I can help walk you through the setup.

Last week's snowstorm knocked out my home internet connection, which then was restored in under two days. But the next day it sputtered again as I was working at home. In desperation I remembered tethering. My phone's hot spot feature worked perfectly; and it was fast, too. I connected everything to it, even VPN. Recommended!

Every time I'm selling an amp or a bass, I use the Hathor as a test cab and everybody said more or less the same: "Jeez, this cab is a monster... never heard anything like this before" and "Never sell it!". :roflmao:

Strange but true, same depth and width of my modified BigBen!

The Big Ben? It's an SWR cab, born as a single 18". I bought one with a fried woofer and modified it using a Faital woofer, Eminence sealed mid and a Ciare tweeter (and an Eminence 3ways crossover).

What AK model is that.? Ive never seen that
