Nah - it's just the right-size cab I have for the gig. It sounds amazing! Will soon be able to compare it with a Hathor, I hope (in the queue). The TC sure will be hard to beat though - love this cab! My only other cab is a TC115AF. These two cabs (with PA support at times) are all I've needed for the last few years.

I bring my auralex most of the time. I believe, I have a more consistent sound from venue to venue,
and certainly on a hollow stage, there is less chance my vibration is going to cause, boom or side effects in the mics on the stage. As soon as unknown low freqs are causing a problem the soundman is going to turn the bass down, and of course we dont want that.

Edit: and Ill add the Auralex Baby Gramma v2 is the perfect size the Hathor 1203s at 15x15 inches.

Which cover did you get from Studio Slips for your 1203's? The padded slip cover?
Did you look into getting extra padding?

I've not had one made by these guys before (plus I need to import it), so I kinda want to get it right before my C112T turns up (and yep, they apparently have a pattern for this one too: Invalid Link Removed)

My padded cover for my 1203’s are from Tuki. I gave them the dimensions a few years back when I bought them and they fit like a glove. I believe they added the 1203 to their website back then as well. The covers are made really well and still look brand new after a few years of use, and best of all, the price is very reasonable.

Just basic black padded cover. Heard good things about Tuki covers, others as well. Went with Studio Slips because they're in my neck of the woods.

Not that I know of. Skip sold his big 118 cab, and I think that would have been the only other possibility.

A bass player in Europe who also plays electric piano has a cab like Marco's. Apparently his wife play an electric grand piano, and she likes the cab and won't give it back to him so he had to order another one for himself. So far those are the only three in existence, but if my son ever decides to start gigging with his electric piano there will be at least one more.

Nope. The fEARful 15-6 uses a woofer that goes much deeper than mine, but mine is a bit more efficient. The fEARful's midrange driver is louder than mine particularly in the 4 kHz region. I try not to be real loud in that region because imo it falls within the territory that belongs to the electric guitars. (I shoot for a "zig where the guitars zag" voicing in my Hathor and Changeling cabs, then you can smooth out my upper-mid "zig" via a switch.)

My understanding is that the 15" fEARful cabs are "low F# capable" cabs, whereas my 15" cabs are only "low B" cabs. Wunna these days I'll get back into the 118 game again, and then I'll have something that's "low F# capable".

what if you dont play in bands with electric guitars. is the tunderchild good there? basically flat and we can pick our own zigging and zagging?

Yours sounds more desirable. F# isn’t needed by me.
