My bad for not communicating that the soft black threaded rubbery piece is part of the plug, not part of the port.
yeah, lol, I didn't know that either up until a year or 2 ago when someone mentioned it in the thread......
Likewise for me and my TC115 v.1. Until I read those posts a while back I thought the black ring was a flared end for the port and left them in. Silly me.
Raises hand. I think I played about a dozen shows before it was pointed out to me here.
Why do these ports chuff so much? *facepalm*
Great to have a laugh so early in the morning.
I guess y’all haven’t done as much plumbing as I have - hah!

@DukeLeJeune , so here's the lay of the Marco Bass booth this year, with your uber-TC112 tucked away back in the far right corner. Really minimal space behind the rear ports, but a bit better than last year. I was listening to livestream webcasts from the booth all day yesterday, and they sounded pretty danged good. The Buddhist monk slapping the carp out of a bass is especially entertaining. Easy enough to find archived on Facebook for those so inclined.

So my curiosity got the better of me, having briefly heard a Barefaced Two10 cab a year or two ago. This is an interesting comparison - totally different sounding cabs as one would hopefully expect. Easy to hear Duke's "zig when others zag" approach playing out.

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
I’ve not taken the opportunity to do this with my cabs yet. I’ve tried the Hathor1203 with my BBII which was pretty darn good, but ever since my C112T showed up, I’ve only paired it with the H1203.
Now you’ve got me curious.
The TB mixed cab Police are on their way!!! How dare you!!! Lmao!
Questions on the stack, since I have a 1203 and the C112T shows up in a couple of months. Which do you put on top? Do you notice an improvement one way or another? Do you change your ports or switches when working in tandem?
I've tried both ways, though I like having the 1203T on the bottom and the C112 (non-T) on top since I use the rear firing option and I hear myself better with the 112 on top. Didn't do anything different with the ports; left them same as when using each cab individually. It's something I could try, I guess, though the rig sounds great in every combination so I just set up and play.

My cabs are the opposite of Ken’s. C112T and regular Hathor. I’ve been using the Tall cab on the bottom as well though. It’s aesthetically pleasing and I also sometimes point the top cab at my drummers head (on certain situations) so the bigger C112T gets to pin the audience’s ears back. Also that means that the bottom cabs drivers are slightly more elevated than the other way round.
I haven’t tried it the other way much really.

Yes, we are very happy with this cab. We use it with an Acoustic image Clarus or an Acoustic Box II/Baby Sumo. So far for electric grand, Wurlitzer, Pianet T, acoustic bass Breedlove, Ibanez SRH 505f, Portamento. We usually use the same rig for piano and bass and it works very well. It is very smooth over the whole acoustic range for the keys and the basses. We don't hear any weaknesses over the entire range.

Introducing the AudioKinesis Hathor 1203 to its first gig.
The gig was at a bar & grill where the "stage" was created when they moved some tables out of the way. This called for a minimal setup. Also the -15F load out last night called for the least amount of gear to get the job done. Monique stayed home. Yet this sounded amazing.
