By the end of my wait for the second 1203T, I was getting impatient too. Ordered thanksgiving weekend last year and was going crazy by the time it showed up.

But now that it’s here, yes, it was absolutely worth the wait. There’s nothing I would replace these cabs with on the market today.

AFAIK the first public showing of the TC112 prototype was Apr. 25, 2010. Then @Chef did some testing which showed some issues we didn't observe in Seattle. Ken received the first production one in Oct. and the rest is all good.

It could be 6. I started the ball rolling on my order in early 2015 so that's coming up on 5.

The wait was difficult but it was definitely worth it. I went through more than a few cabs looking for a lightweight solution in the 5 years prior, and zero since, save for a brief dalliance with a third 1203.

The first showing of the 1203 was in the spring of 2014 at another Seattle GTG. Duke brought a wide variety of prototype cabs to that one and we were just slammed all day with people trying his and my stuff.

+1 on the even coverage/cramped setup statement. I am still budget-restricted to powering my Birdhaus 48 with an old 210-watt/4 ohm Peavey rack power amp*, and I practice with some pretty loud guys in a weird-shaped basement, pretty much on top of each other and hemmed in by drums and monitor wedges. I can hear the full frequency output anywhere I can stand in that forest of visual chaos. Including looking right down at the top of my rig. It’s pretty remarkable after trying to position a 1 x 15 just so and staying “in the beam” so I could hear the mids and highs well enough to discern pitches.

This is in a distorted-guitar, cymbal-rich sonic environment too. Someday I hope to experience what it can do with more watts, but the current thrust is enough for what I’m doing with it and it sounds great to me.

Reliving the early 80s: 210 monaural watts in three rack spaces!

Good to see your name on here again. Yet another thanks for turning me on to Audiokinesis and Markbass amps. Your videos helped many such as myself sort through the gear possibilities and come out with a good solution.

New England is snowed in and today is cancelled.

So here’s an AK stack from this past weekend

H1203T on the bottom, under a C112, under a Mesa D800.

Absolutely the best live sound I’ve ever had. I can do these gigs with just the 1203T just fine, though I love playing through two cabs. It sounds BIG!

The wait for my c112t was crazy too.
My problem was I kept reading this thread while waiting.
Ended up ordering a h1203t during the wait.
Couldn't be happier.

Stop reading this thread and one day your cabinet will show up. Lol

I owned that very cabinet for several years, as Ken Jung sold it to me, it was a godsend. There's nothing quite like it for it's size, power handiling, sonic profile, and it's sound as a doubling cab for

Electric and Double Bass.

Ditto.

Mine has also seen action doing all the things you would normally do with compact PA speakers, as well as acoustic bass, guitar and keyboard amps. It makes a great FRFR speaker for digital modelling.

It has never sounded anything less than stellar, even with upper register instruments like electric violin and viola.

I have one of the earlier TC-112 4 Ohm cabs. I ordered it in October 2010 and it was on my doorstep 1-11-11 and 8+ years later it still makes me smile every time I plug in. Also, there is a Birdhaus 415 in the Richmond, VA. Craigslist for $500.00. I don't know the seller and I have no interest in the sale, I just thought it would be good to pass the info along.

The Birdhaus 415 uses four Basslite C2515 woofers wired in series-parallel. That woofer is sadly discontinued, it's 4 ohms and rated at 300 watts (Deltalite motor), and last time I looked you could still find them on Ebay. It has a 9 dB peak at about 1.6 kHz, which sounds great for electric bass and sucks for everything else. There is switch on the back to smoothe out that peak. It's a good loud wide-dispersion low-E cab, but imo it's not a low-B cab. It would need to be a LOT larger, or use less efficient woofers, for low-B.

The Basslite C2515 was the inspiration for my custom 15" Kappalite variant. Mine only has a +6 dB peak though.

The cab has two ports on the back, one high and one low, to get a bit of chimney effect cooling. The ports are actually just 6.25" diameter holes in the cabinet.

That's the only Birdhaus 415 in existence.
