I had a bit of delay on C112T recently when Duke was unwell - trust me, it was worth the wait.
Now my problem is I want another one, and I don't know whether to get another C112T, a C112 or a H1203T...

1 c112t will handle just about anything.
But I dont blame you for wanting another.
I went with the h1203t to go with it.
Couldn't be happier.

Our alto player's boyfriend requested a fuzz bass solo, so I obliged during Black Friday. Hathor/Changeling cabs just love dirt...

C’mon man, where’s the video? I would love to have seen that! That seems like a cool song to put a Fuzz bass solo in to me!

That song always struck me as seeming rhythmically simple on the surface but on closer listen it’s full of subtle shifts in feel and really gets slammin in the “Gonna let the world pass by me; the archbishop gonna sanctify me” part.

I keep my H1203 in the car all the time, in part because it is short enough to sit up in the hatch area of the car and sits under the hatch cover. The T version (I have a C1203T) is too tall to do that. So for me, having one tall and one regular is the best logistic solution. Ymmv.

same. The T variant (tall) goes a bit deeper. You can get either as a T.

My 1506 took 5 months or so, but I'm glad to have it. Of course, I have a pair of 1203, too. Pure bragging. Ordering a Thunderchild, if I can ever decide which one.

I owned that very cabinet for several years, as Ken Jung sold it to me, it was a godsend. There's nothing quite like it for it's size, power handiling, sonic profile, and it's sound as a doubling cab for

Electric and Double Bass.

Last time I heard you with that cab and the Walter with DB, it just sounded magnificent. If you remember, I had two of the 112's. One stayed in Wisconsin, and I used it on smaller and even medium sized road gigs when I drove. i kept the second 112 in St. Louis where I flew in to gig quite often. i liked the sound so much, I sold that 112 to you and got a 115 so it would cover every gig I could think of. Wonderful sounding stuff. When I moved to the passive P Bass, I powered those cabs with an Aguilar Tone Hammer, which 'roughed up the sound' a bit with the P for a bit of snarl and grind. Really wonderful cabs!

Here are some Hathor 1203 recordings for anyone interested.

This is a collection of tunes based on John Williams' music for Star Wars. This weekend we are playing "CD release" shows at different Alamo DraftHouse locations, as part of their premiere parties for The Rise of Skywalker.

I tracked bass at home, probably over the course of a year, which is why you see different gear used (borrowed mics). All parts are recorded by each member at his own house (except drums, done in a studio). Any feedback/criticism regarding the mixing, production and performance is welcome and appreciated (preferably via PM to avoid a thread derail).

Recording path: bass > Neve RNDI > Apogee Duet > MacBook/Logic Pro, then "reamp" from Duet headphone out into bass rig (when I had the house to myself)

Track 1 - G&L LB-100 w/ Sadowsky Blue Label flats, Ashdown ABM500 (drive is either the amp 12ax7 or a MP Blueberry) into Hathor 1203, mic'd with an AKG D112

Track 2 - LB-100 w/ Cobalt flats, Ashdown ABM500 (using preamp/12ax7 drive) into Hathor 1203, D112 mic

Track 3 - Yancey bass w/ TI flats, ABM500 into 1203, mic'd with Shure Beta 52

Track 5 - Yancey w/ TI flats, Mesa WD800 into 1203, mic'd with Heil PR40

Track 8 - Yancey w/ TIs, WD800 into 1203, PR40 mic

Anyone heard from Duke lately? I left him a few voicemails to check on where my H1506 cabs were in the build process and haven't heard anything back. I sent in the order and deposit back in August. I read above that Duke has been unwell and wasn't sure if that was still the case. I sure hope all is well now. I'm in no rush, just wanted to check in to reset expectations.

Yes, I think he had to handle parent relocation plus disposition / remodeling of the family home. That’s a LOT!
