If a person loaded a Henry the 8 x 8 cab with 8PR200s, that would cost $1,600. You could wire it all parallel for 2 ohms.

Just got back from doing a half-hour set at a indoor eight-band “originals night” hooraw. The band that sort of hosted it had a bass rig consisting of a rack that was at least four feet tall—many blinky lights—driving a Mesa 6 x 10 and one of those Mesas with four tens and a fifteen in the middle. It seemed to be “carrying the room” pretty well. I was kind of scared of it.
I used my Birdhaus 48 sort of aimed across the stage, ports open, driven by a super-janky apparatus consisting of a Behringer V-amp Pro (guitar version! Roland JC120 setting! I am a funny guy!) and a Crown Micro-Tech 600 power amp, both unracked but bolted together with short pieces of rack rail. Lots of pointy edges and corners!
The sound guy just miked the upper front speaker. Seemed to work pretty well. Sound was great onstage and kept up with the drums and the guitarist’s Marshall.
I think I’m going to try to build a head-shell-type case for that stuff, with the same kind of handle and corners that the Birdhaus has. Carrying unracked rack gear around sucks, even when it’s cheap or free.
TL, DR: The Birdhaus can lay it down when you put the watts to it. Also, I am being kind of a whiner.

Still nothing from Duke. Man I sure hope everything is okay with him. @Mike Arnopol have you heard from him?
I last heard from him on Sept 3. He apologized for being so far behind ( my deposit was placed in early February ) and assured me my Hathor 2x12 was going to be in the next batch he started. Right now, he probably just needs time. My mom passed 3 years ago and the best thing that helped me through it was throwing myself into work and wood shedding. He seems like a good dude. He will surface when he is ready.

At lower volume, the 1203 (port open) actually keeps up with the Berg in terms of perceived loudness. Of course, when cranked, the Berg having 2x driver surface area and more than 2.5x internal volume, that makes a big difference. But, I think for a small/quiet gig rig, the 1203 would satisfy a player who feels at-home with the NV sound.

The ability to do that and the modularity (112, 212, 312) was what motivated me to order the 212. It's great. But even being in a loud band, I rarely have the opportunity to "let 'er rip" with just the 212, including outdoor shows!Just for fun, why not stack your AK Ch212 with the 1203. Select 2ohm setting on the WD800, and let 'er rip. Please do tell results
The 212 just fills a lot of sonic space, and since last August I run it sealed nearly 100% of the time, with the WD set to 2-ohm so the power is reduced to ~600W (in order to better utilize the the overdrive features).
I think the WD-800 + Changeling rig might be the most versatile thing available when you consider pluggable ports, high and mid trim switches, rear mid-driver attenuation switch, and the WD's damping control, HP filter, variable power settings (into 4 or 8 ohms) and drive features.

As to the 1203; I'm sure it will be a mega-skosh more capable than small and quiet.

Just an update for all of you in case you were wondering where Duke has been. He's finally back home and starting to build cabinets again. However, he himself is sick, and it will slow him down until he gets better. I told him to get well before he commits to delivery dates. Hopefully he doesn't wear himself down trying to work hard.

Wow, time flies. In two days I'll hit the nine year anniversary of picking up my TC112AF, which Duke delivered to me in person at the Boise TB GTG that weekend. It's been my primary gigging cab ever since then too.
And I'd like to add my voice to the chorus wishing Duke a speedy recovery, and prosperity with all his ventures.

Adding to the growing chorus of folks telling Duke they want him healthy so that he can keep the bar raised for human nature and general character and behavior. Truly a “you’re lucky if you meet one of those per lifetime” kind of guy.

I’ll keep you in mind if that evil thought takes root.
It really likes sitting under my Mesa WA, so then I’d have to sell it too so that’s a problem I’m not too fond of yet.
