Avatar Owner's Club - part 3

I've used that same combination with a GK MB500 and got excellent results. Have switched now to two 8ohm SB112s and it seems more focused to me, although perhaps not quite as warm.
I recant what I said about the B210. I now have a LH1000.
It turns out that when running the B210 700w in duel parallel mode on the Hartke,
its only seeing 350w on the HL500 and 225w on the HL1000 and would distort when pushed.
But when I put it in bridged mode that does 750w at 8ohms, its one powerful mofo.

Lately been playing a B-153 with a B-210 on top powered with a GK MB800...

I still have an SB112 from many years ago. It is a good cab, but I have to agree with the qualification "for the price." My Thunderchild 112 was more than twice as expensive, but, it truly is that much better. Not bashing -- I still like my avatar cab. But the price point is just about right. They are a good mid-level product.
Need advice
I own a 210 and a 112 avatar cabs.
I find the 210 alone mid heavy and the 112 alone bass heavy.
Combined they sound good but the 210 over power the combo.
Would you guys recommend I get another 210 and have a 410 setup or another 112 to have a 212 setup?
I lean towards more punch.

I'm going to check out a 2x10 this weekend. If it's as good as I think it'll be, I'll have 1/2 of my modular 4x10 and officially be in the club!

I did indeed grab an Avatar 2x10 today. It sounds HUGE and I'm really happy with the purchase! I have two questions for everyone. 1) How do you know if it has the ceramic or neo speakers? and 2) what heads are you guys/gals using? I currently have a GK MB 200 that works great for a portable practice amp, but I'm wanting something a little different.
The ceramic magnet cabinet is about 60 lbs. The neo magnet cabinet is only about 45 lbs.
Here is a pic of the new cab with my two favorite basses! I'm really impressed with the volume I'm getting out of this thing while only pushing it with the GK MB200. I'll eventually want another to sit on top, but for now I'm very content! Now i just need to try a few different heads to get the tone I'm looking for!

I am using a Sans Amp RBI Pre-Amp and a 90's era QSC Power Amp (I can never remember the number) through a Neo4B10. I use this rig for metal, jazz and sometimes pit orchestra gigs. On the pit gigs, I sometimes use a smaller Fender Rumble 150 that I borrow from the school where I teach since I don't need the volume, or have the space for my rack.
Yup. Using two Neo 210 cabs and they do everything I need. To your question I am currently using a TC BH250 and it's a great match. But I have previously used an MB200, 500 and 800. The 5 and 8 were great matches. Bright, bouncy, clear and modern. A perfect pairing.

I'm running a single Avatar 210 Neo through my HL500; with PA support, it works great. Sometimes I stand it vertically and the racked amp on its side just next to it.
