Hey all,
I have my Avatar 4x10 set with my Markbass 800 and was looking to get an avatar member number.
So far I like the setup. It is plenty loud. My only thing I am working on is to get my A string a little more noticed when I play it. The B and E are plenty strong and the higher strings are heard well, just some of the A string notes I am not too fond of the sound or haven't found my spot for it yet with settings. I typically do cut the mids on my bass, so maybe that is the issue in part. My amp I run everything at noon and the mid high or mid low at 1 oclock and do a quarter on the first filter (vle) to blend the sound a little bit.
Also, I would give advice on how it works for me to the above post as I am running it at 8ohms, so it's output is close to that of a MBII, but I do have the tube preamp version and I am not equipped to pretend I know what I am talking about in any kind of professional manner. What I can say it that it does power those cabs pretty sufficiently. I have spare room when playing to turn up more, we tend to have pretty loud practices, but my gain is a tow marks or mark and a half under noon and my volume is right on noon. I may go up a notch if I feel like being louder or if people are cranking. My clip light never comes on when playing either and as I stated I am running at 8 ohms, so about 500 watts through 4x10 avatar.
Our guitar player has a 250 tube amp I believe and I keep up no probs. I am guessing he can go louder too. Anyhow, here is some wasted type. Hope it might have been useful somehow.
Can I get my number now.
Thanks.
