hey guys, i have a though... I shall see what you guys think

I was planning to buy a 410 soon but perhaps something even better would be a 212 and a 210..... that way I can take one cab to a smaller gig, i could have a bit more low end punch, stuff like that...

do you guys think this is a good idea? what advantages would the 410 have over their 212 and a 210? (I do play a 5 string with very powerful electronics, so i wonder how the 210 will handle it all.

I had a 2x10 and 1 x 12 earlier this year and it was a great setup. I stacked the 10 vertically over the 12 that sat on the floor. Great sound with a LMII. I thought I'd like a 4x10 better so got one. I was wrong and just got in 2 x 2x10". stacked verticaly very nice. IMO a 2x12 would be over kill but?

I'll take a number.

I have a B212 Neo right now. I really like it. I'm glad I followed the advice of many TalkBass members that said spend the extra money and get the Avatar. I can't imagine being as pleased with a Hartke 410 as I am with this Avatar cab. My next cab is probably going to be the 210; though I don't know when that'll happen.

Hello, I'm going to order a couple Avatar cabs tomorrow (210 & 212) and I'm leaning towards the blonde tolex. I'm a little worried about keeping the blonde looking good. Any blonde owners out there have any issues keeping the tolex clean? Maybe the brown is a better option. Thanks for the help.

Give some serious consideration to the Line-X It looks good and is indestructible (figuratively of course)

This is something similar to what I've been wondering about.

With the black hardware (grill, corner protectors), how would the blonde look?

How is the brown color-wise? It looks pretty light on their website.

Here's something interesting for you though.
I emailed about these particular questions, and was wondering if they had any other pics besides the high contrast white background ones, and happened to mention wishing they made tweed/oxblood bass cabs, and got this response:

HI you can get a tweed cab but the grills are metal only because we shock mount them on rubber feet so they can't rattle...you could rig up a front grill frame with oxblood cloth but we don't do that here...because we don't want to take any chances of rattles...we only have the pics that are in the site...let meknow if you need anything..

I wonder if its tweed colored tolex (like aguilar cabs), I'd assume it would be.
I'm VERY tempted to order one in tweed. This is the first I've heard of tweed avatar bass cabs. Is this common knowledge?

I've had mine for almost 6 months now, and it looks as good as the day I got it. Keep in mind that it's only being used here at home, and not out at shows. Dave assured me that it's easy to keep clean and take care of.
