I'm using an Ingles stand, and it works well for my new KK, as well as other EUB and URBs that I've owned. The only negative I can think of is that it doesn't fold as small as some others. The sturdiness and security makes up for that, though.

I have used the Ingles stands in the past. I agree that the only downside is that they don't fold as small. However, I felt that they are sturdy for BBs.

When I had the smaller KK, I took off the end pin tip and put the whole rod into an LP percussion stand (kind of like a cymbal stand with tripod legs) and that was very sturdy and convenient. I could play it while on the stand. The Ampegs are too big for that.

Would the Ingles cello be more suited or the bass one?
The bass one looks like the part where the body seats, it's too wide for the body of a baby bass.

Greetings fellow baby bass plunkers. Anybody here know where I can find a wrench to fit the strange shaped nut on my Ampeg truss rod? Or maybe you've figured out an improvised substitute? I need help! I've got the neck joint and tailpiece dialed in.. one little twist on this truss rod and I think she'll be in the sweet spot!

Officially, the nut on the truss rod of an Ampeg Baby Bass is designed to be turned with a wrench called an Adjustable Pin Spanner. It used to be commonly used in machinery, not so common today. I have a couple of them here in my shop for servicing antique metalworking machines.

But, honestly, I just use a small pair of arc-joint pliers to turn that nut. Grip right across the two rounded notches.
