Picked this up a little while ago. A rare MIJ model 24 with a Bart 3-band that's active passive. Also has a coil tap. 3-piece neck. Slappers dream! I am putting her up for sale for CHEAP (son's college tuition is due!). See thread in the classifieds for details. It's an awesome bass.

I have 2 Momose, which are built by Deviser....um, best non-vintage jazz basses ever. I have a Bacchus being built, but after getting the Momose, I'm just going to have Momose pickups in the Bacchus. Deviser are GAWDS of instrument making.

How many of you would be interested in a very limited run Craft Japan series P-Bass. Would you prefer Momose or Mojotone pickup? What colors? With pickup cover or no?

2 months ago, my plans were completely different with my basses. i just take things as they come.

what a shame, eh?

i have an STR SC5 Black Sierra. LOVE IT!

but after time with 5 and 6 string basses...

i'm a 4 banger at heart.

wow..that thing is sweet. Any chance you can record some clips with it? I'd love to hear it. Interested in how it compares to the super jazz DXs in terms of tone.

Hi everybody,

Glad to see other big fans of Bacchus as I am.
I ordered a custom DX Woodline with Nordstrand Preamp , NJ5 70's and Hipshot Bridge direct from Danny and I love this Bass !

Now I'm saving for a fretless STR but it will take some time ...need to buy a new amp and a Recording interface before I'll talk to Danny on a new custom Bass.

The bass sounds and plays so good ! But it came with Elixir strings and Danny reviewed it on his YouTube Channel and the review doesn't show how good sounding the bass is, after a small setup and replacing the strings to Rotosound it really shines .

I don't have any pictures on the new Phone I'm using so here is a one that Danny Took before shipping.
(I changed the two middle knobs to Sadwosky ones a few months ago so it looks better).

I ordered a Bacchus DX4 from Danny a few months ago. Ziricote top, ash/maple set up, going to have dark wood blocks and binding. Momose 60's wind pickups in 60's position(my 2 Momose jazz basses by Deviser are just the greatest things ever). I'm sure it will sounds like Godzilla found Lemmy's meth stash and layed waste.

The flat Radius of the fingerboard was a bit odd for me in the Beginning, but after I got used to it and did a proper setup The fingers Fly on the neck so easily like driving a high end Sports car.

The one thing I wish I did and I haven't is ordering Hipshot tuners instead of the Gotoh ones...not a big issue...but I'll replace them maybe in a few months.
To me they are the only negative thing in this Bass.

Thanks Fredric! It's even more Beautiful in real life.
As I said it needs Hipshot Tuners...so not perfect !!!

Maybe even 2 hipshot string retiners instead of the Gotoh one.

The Nordstrand pickups are brilliant but maybe I should have went for the Dual Coils Humbuckers to get something else then the classic Jazz Bass sound.

I love this Bass so much...I don't want to damage the perfect work Bacchus did with even one new pickup routings that will damage the Beautiful body!

So I guess I'll just have to get another Bass from Danny

Those trans brown pickguards work perfectly with natural finishes. I'm surprised no other company uses them for their basses.

i am having my tech cut a thinner clear guard this week.

i can never leave well enough alone.

i SHOULD be getting my fretless Bacchus back today. had my tech replace the nut with bone and epoxy the fretboard.

i will be using Aguilar hum cancelling pups with an East J-Retro onboard preamp.

I would love to get a clear pick guard for my Bacchus but I contacted Danny and it's $120 plus shipping. Anyone have a idea of where I could get one made cheaper. That's a crazy price just for a pick guard.
