I'm 52 years old. When I stand on stage for more than 1 set, my lumbar(s) tighten up and I'm in agony. I'm thinking about a tall stool so I can "reset" two or three times during the sets by sitting or leaning for a few moments.
I've been gigging on and off for 30 years. Last night the 3rd set became very painful. This is the rule now rather than the exception.
Yoga? Gym? I'm open to suggestions.
After I herniated my L4-L5, in addition to my sciatica, these are the exercises that my physical therapist had me do.i'm 60 , had mid-lower back issues forever ... why = weak core muscles ..!
we don't use those muscles very much to exercise them correctly ... try these ..!!

I'm actually in some lower back discomfort right now. Just played an EUB gig sitting down, but still lumbar tenderness. Have a 3.5 hour electric gig tonight, a little nervous about the pain.i'm 60 , had mid-lower back issues forever ... why = weak core muscles ..!
