I only have one word to describe how I felt when the alarm clock went off this morning after being off of work for the past 11 wonderful days:
Ugh!
Ugh!

lol...that will be me tomorrow. I think I slept until 8-8:30 the past 2 weeks....tomorrow ill be out the door around 7am and it will be a charming 4 degrees.sleeping in till pert near 8 am all last week, ... was a lovely -10 when I went out to start the car at 6 this morning, it was a little ruff.
I've been a stay-at-home dad and working musician the last 12 years. I'm TERRIFIED of the day I might have to go back to work!.Now it's back to the Corporate world and i'm having a difficult time changing gears mentally

Yep...I have a bit under 20 years to go until....Ive made it a point this year to really embrace healthier habits sWork? That's a four letter word to me (retired 10 yrs). Every day is like a Saturday to me. Sorry, workin' stiffs, you'll get there too...eventually.
I just read your profile...it describes my past and current situation very wellI hear ya' man... I worked shifts through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and then took the time off after that last week. After burning the last banked holiday today, I gotta' report in at 7:00 tomorrow morning though.![]()
lol...this was me...I binge slept, ate and Spotified hours of blues and Jazz.Back to work today after 10 days off. No vacation this year until late December (the company I've worked at for the last 9+ years was purchased by another company a few months ago, so no rest for the weary.)
I was about as non-productive as I can remember. After dealing with a very sick dog issue for the first few days, I BINGE slept, BINGE ate and BINGE watched Netflix. I was a freakin' slug.
Paying for it now. Three weeks of travel coming up over the next month.
+1...Tomorrows my first day back, i've been staying up real late the past 10 days or so, I expect to get little sleep. It was really hard for me today after 10 days off. Had a restless night last night - work nightmares. I remembered my log on and password this AM. I guess what I’m saying is 10 days is not enough lol.

Good to hear you're getting back in the saddle.Yeah... I'm feeling it too OP. Off since Dec 22nd. Ended up having to have an area of skin cancer under my left eye removed this past Wednesday (12/27) then follow up reconstructive surgery on Thursday (12/28). This all came up pretty suddenly. Today was the first day I played in about a week. Still in recovery so I'm working from home for the next few days, which is good. Well, the reason for it isn't good but it's good that I can work from home when necessary. Plus it gave me the opportunity to play for a while today which really made me feel a lot better. Hopefully stitches are coming out tomorrow and I'm back on the road to (what passes for) normal for me.

Oh heck yesI had a good bit of time off the last few weeks of the year, and have been able to completely forget I have a day jobIve spent my days hanging with the family, listening to a ton of music on Spotify, playing/practicing a lot, and on the TB community. Now it's back to the Corporate world and i'm having a difficult time changing gears mentally....Anyone else?
