Bad news.

Awesome news - that it hasn't hit any lymph nodes! It sounds as though they've caught it early (enough!)

Keep the faith,
Joe

PS Do you and your wife have any other kids?

No he is our only child so far. Although my wife was a nanny up untill we found the cancer. There are five other little ones that she took care of. With my work schedule being nights I was there with them all most days before I went to work. The other kids are taking this pretty hard. They are to young to understand most of what is going on. Thanks again to everyone. To the ones who offerd to send cards you have pm's.

Jeff.

Quick update. Some results came back. Cancer has not spread to any other parts of the body. They will begin chemotherapy on Thursday. He Will have to have somewhere between 2 and 8 rounds of treatment before the tumor can be removed. Today I feel a lot better about things in general. Thanks again for all the prayer and encouraging words.

Jeff.

Looking good! Cancer is some ****** ****, but if you catch it early you have pretty good chances. I'll be sending you some good karma, PM me your address and I'll send your kid a finnish get-well-soon-card through the snail-mail (I need something purposeful to do right now... :/)

Thank goodness you found it early and it was local! That so ups the odds!
Samuel is on my wife's prayer list at her church! I'll pray as well!
My wife recently sailed through brain surgery, so we understand what you're going through! Be strong my friend!

Well they started the chemotherapy last night. He did well. Very minimal side effects. The thing that does suck is the chemo comes out in his urine. So we have to were gloves when changing his diapers and dispose of them in a different garbage can so that they can be incinerated. He is in a pretty good mood today. If all goes well they will release us on sunday or monday. Then begins our many trips back and forth to the clinic. Things are looking up.

Jeff.

Man oh man.

It was quite shocking when my brother was diagnosed. But he was 27. Your son hasn't seen a birthday yet.

Cancer knows no limits, man.....

Your doctors will do a fine job for your son. He will pull through this. His scars most likely will disappear, his body will never know the difference in time.

Good luck. Hug him tightly, ever so tightly. Love can kill cancer.

That's really good to hear. Thank you for the updates.:)

+1. Keep them coming too. :)

EDIT: You should print this thread out for him to show him when he gets older.

That's a fantastic idea. We're all pulling for your little one...be strong for him, as is evident you two are...that is fantastic. I'm glad things are progressing well... I really dig the positive energies we all share, and that is wonderful.

Best of luck and do keep us informed. Be well!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff,
I want you to know that I am part of a prayer team and when I sent the request out it has spread like wildfire. At least two whole Christian churches have Samuel and your family in prayer.

This isn't meant as a "brownie points" response but a "we got you and your family covered with prayer" response.

I met with several of the prayer team members and they are all asking about Samuel. Please keep us informed.

God Bless,
