It was a rough Friday night for Beef Femur :scowl:
My Featherweight Mickey McTavish, tried to fight up at the middleweight ranks, (he's a chippy little bugger) and didn't fair too well. He took on a kid out of South Georgia, Camden county I think. His name was Cletus "The Clamp" Johnson. This kid got his name as the result of a bizarre hay baling incident that left him with only his thumb & index finger on his left hand. I guess his day job is as a field worker, and he developed a freakishly strong grip....but I digress.
I wasn't as concerned as I should have been when I scheduled the fight, but once I saw "The Clamp" warming up...all that changed...
He started his warm ups with his trainer by snapping the tops off childproof aspirin bottles and progressed to pickle jars....and then...(I'm not kidding around here)...inserting part F into slot M and HOLDING it until the glue dried!
I tried to talk some sense into Mickey, but his Irish temper and cocksure attitude got the better of him...It was not pretty...
Round 1 "The Clamp" captured Mickey's left arm and from there on out he never released his grip..He has a heck of a right hook, and he pounded Mickey mercilessly...Mickey fought as well as he could but being a straight up boxer and not comfortable down on the mat, he just couldn't keep any distance to land punches.
It went on like that for the whole 3 rounds....It just may have broken the kid...He'd never taken that kind of a beating before, he'd never lost before...Even though he went the distance with an opponent who outweighed him by nearly THREE POUNDS, Mickey couldn't handle the defeat...
This morning I found him in the dorms, in a drunken stupor, babbling incoherently about the crabman...

It's gonna be a long road bringing him back around....
