Ya I was hoping for that DI to be put in front of a 1000 watt, class d amp. Moved my ML112s and picked up a ML115. Love it, wish I had one of those 12's back for my at home concerts. Family says that can't hear me one floor and three rooms away.
My 8 year old ML112 is my go to cabinet. I intended to get another but the truth is I don't really need it. It is more than enough for the venues I typically play. On my last pre-craziness gig March 5th a seasoned player came up and complimented me on how clean my sound was.
I was using my Thunderfunk 550 and a Yammy BB3Ks.

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
I wound up selling my 3 ML112's but definitely not because I didn't like them. They introduced me to the mid loaded cab/no tweeter design which I discovered was very good for me.
I moved to Audiokinesis cabs for the weight/size and the adjustability that they bring. I'm very happy with them and probably wouldn't have got here without going with the ML's first. But I'd gladly use them again.

A Valkyrie is one purchase I regret not making when I had the chance...Still loving my Valkyrie and pair of 1st Gen ML-112's!

Currently, there is a pair of (non affiliated) ML112's and a ML212 in the cl's. If that 212 wasn't on the other side of the border, I'd snag it in a heartbeat.
Hey All. Well, not a lot to update you on. I do have some new cabinets in the wings, but I'm not able to get those out there until manufacturing gets back up and running. Both our cabinet factory and our crossover vendor are not able to deliver product right now due to the coronavirus. As soon as I can have things made again, I will try and get the new 112 out ASAP. That will be followed by a new 212 and 210. I will say that I am really excited about the new cabs.
Sorry things have taken so long. The designs have been done for some time, but I was hoping that the tariffs would be a short lived thing so that those extra cost wouldn't have to be added to the price of the cabinets. I'm really hoping our factory can be up and running again in the next couple months, but we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

One of my shelter at home projects is trying to build a new website, so hopefully we have an all new site by the time these are ready to go. I'll try and take a few pics this weekend of them. Here's a quick demo clip of the new 112 from when I took the prototype out to the Nordstrand facility for some feedback. Keep in mind this was recorded on an iPhone so the low end is a bit lacking, but it gives you some idea of the tonal profile.

I know it's been a long tome coming, but the DI is still in the work. I've just had a sound in my head that has been difficult to achieve. We completely changed the topology a couple months ago and I'm now confident that we are indeed on the right path.
Lots of nice amp modules that could be added...hint..hint.
Hey gang. Hope all is well with everyone. I have a question for you all. I'm wrapping up the design on some new cabs and had a question regarding the new 212 box. As is typical with my designs, size and weight are never my first design criteria, but I do like to keep those things in mind. I let the driver dictate the box size and I'm a big proponent of lots of bracing for a rock solid box. With the new 212 however, I am worried about where the weight is coming in at, so I'm debating a driver change that could shave some pounds off the designs.
The 112 cab will have a 500w driver, as I think that driver works fabulous in that box. But for the 212, that driver is adding considerable extra weight and I'm not really sure that level of horsepower is really needed in that box. So the question is, would you guys be prefer to see a 1000w 212 that comes in at 59lbs., or a 700w 212 that comes in at 53lbs? With the 500w drivers, the cab is an absolute beast, but the 350w driver is quite impressive as well, so performance is still pretty impressive. Cab size is roughly 20"w x 28"h x 15 3/4" deep.
