My 15B-D came without the port plugged, I would like to tighten it up a bit. Is it just a piece of plywood covering the port?

I believe that is correct. If it was me I would cut a piece of plywood to size and put some weather stripping on it to make it as air tight as possible.

Anyone have an opinion on Barefaced vs Bag End? The big baby 2 looks like an intriguing option for a 15d type sound with more extension

I should take a photo of my dad's early '80s birch Bag Ends. Love those cabs!

In the early 80s I played through an early version of the birch S15B-B. Huge, no port, speaker was replaced by something with a huge heavy magnet. The cab weighed about 90 pounds. It had a velcro'd on wooden cover that covered the speaker for transport. On top I stacked a big EV 3-way 115 and a GK 400RB. Fun times...

The seller said he has Cloud 9 covers for them. So they come with. I don't know anything about particular companies pertaining to covers, but he said there were like $100 each so they have to be decent I would think.

I love the 2 s15d stack. How do you like the Genz through them?

I run a walkabout or wt800 into mine and it is a tough call which one sounds better.

I just got them about 3 hours ago, and I'm sitting at my in-laws right now. I won't get to play them till tomorrow because the kids will go down soon. Or maybe I'll just barely tweak the master and see if I can't not shake them out of their cribs.

Also wanted to say, this place gives you serious GAS. I'm still trying to think about if I want to hunt down a 400RB and a Streamliner. How much tone do you really need?
