Darn link is gone but it sounds like maybe the crossover is mounted separate from the jackplate? I sent an email to Bagend but Ive done that in the past and never got a reply, maybe I should just call. I am assuming the wires from the plate go to a seperate mounted crossover and I should take the jackplate leads and extend/run them straight to the driver. I guess I gotta remove the insulation to get at the goods,eh? Thanks Gladowsky for the help!!!

Update: I bypassed the crossover and disabled the tweeter and I got the results I had hoped for. I left the crossover and magnet in place, unplugged the leads to the crossover and added my own extensions that match the original ends so not to cut anything. It can all simply be put back without any changes. I can see why it has no attenuator as it is a true two way crossover (not a full range driver with an added tweeter). Now that the driver is running full range it sounds super nice! Its not that the co-ax doesnt sound great, as it truly does, its just that it seems I prefer much more roll-off. Bag end should put something like a double pole/double throw toggle so you could switch between 2-way and full range 15 only, that would be cool.

Been tempted to pick up a pair of s15d's for at least a decade or so... Finally found a mint pair locally for $560 CAD.

Very different for me because I've been playing Berg's for the past 10 yrs! At the end of last night, I was really digging the chewy natural tone that only seemed to sound better the louder things get! Tight and punchy, thick and focused. It's nice to play through something that is not so 'extended' in the deep bass for a change. Not as 'hyped' I guess.

Anyhow, cool rig. Used an ashdown LB-30 and my Nordy PJ. Pretty much nothing to complain about using this rig in my jam space. If anything... It's one of the best sounding stacks I've come accross for indoor use. Most 'big cabs' for me (4x20 or 2x12)are difficult to control in small rooms but this 215 stack is very strong. Enough punch to let you know there's no lack of bass going on in any register... And never too boomy or overwhelming in the low bass. Natural roll-off in both the lows and sizzle range for a unique usable sound that seems to really sit in the mix effortlessly.

I've got a pair of s15d cabs coming. Can anybody compare them to the s12d? Not much out there for comparisons. I used to have a pair of these and regret selling them. I will say that I have considered putting the drivers in two or even one new lightweight box with front porting and a more ergonomic design.

I must have ESP.. I was thinking about YOU and Bag End this past week when i was on a gig. . I was going to ask you about a pair of S115s , but you seem to be finding out on your own. I want to see what you report back .

i have had so many bag end cabs over the years S12, D12, D212 DEEP,, D1812, D15 DEEP ( best 15 cab that i ever played) but never the cube 115 cabs. The ones that i owned were all made of the stained Birch..

I loved how they sounded many years ago.. I am always sorry that i sold them , but the 215 was a monster @ 24" deep
... I used it on many national tours when i had a crew to move it. It was tight, punchy, rolled off in the right spots without relying on a HPF.. TO me, it seems more pleasing to my ears to have a cab Roll off by the physics of the cab design , than to have a HPF doing it electronically.. Just my imagination I guess. But I like it.

The Bagend S115B-D "deep cab" with rectangular front port,, is my FAVE cab that's made by them . Its big... .I only worry about the S115 "cube shaped one" not having what im looking for,
They made a cab that was just slightly larger than the S115 Cube that was front ported... maybe teh S115C ? the best of both worlds..

PS..IIRC... Bag Ends numbering system is very confusing to me. D sometimes stands for DEEP as in 24" deep front to back. and sometimes it doesn't..

The have a hook that catches the 4 Aluminum HOLD down levers on each speaker.. I've had them on my old ones. That traveled around the globe a few times. never an issue

Played several dirt pedals thru the Bags last week with great success. Took the edge off my brighter pedals (brimstone & darkglass) and brought a more focused sound to the the jam. With the Bags, I just play everything flat and dime the tone knob on my passive Nordy... Let the cabs naturally attenuate things. Not the case with my Bergs and mesa prodigy... Takes a fair bit of EQing to get things to mellow out. The Bags do sound different, but in a very good way...naturally thick and focused instead of that wide open hi-fi thing I guess. Cool thing is... They deliver. Loud, clear and tonefull just like any other 'boutique' cab I've paid up for!

I have owned both the Single and the Double 15. The doubles are divided internally as an SVT cab is into two seperate cabs..
I rarely used the potential of that cab.. Even playing big rooms.
It wasn't as loud as an 810 but the freq response was smoother and less beamy..
The single DEEP 115 is my fave all time 115 cab.. Even with the stock speakers its amazing at what it can do.
Kringle was talking about putting Kappa 115s That would be nice i guess...IT would be able to handle more wattage.
Although I have put 500 watts from my crown amp and old Carvin power amp into the stock 200 watt 15" drivers with no issues at all..

I don't need all that cab these days.. I did a slew of arena size shows last summer with only one Genz uber 115 with PA of course. But i still would like to get another 115 bag end .. and maybe put a 5" faital with crossover in the box. the front panel has plenty of area to do that.. .. It would be the ultimate for me.
That larger bag end had a deep yet TIGHT low end..and great smooth mids.. The highs without the tweeter or mid driver rolls off nicely.. VERY ORGANIC..
And if you want more treble Turn it up on your amp. It has a nice vintage vibe when you do that. The amp speaks well.
I found that some of the more modern class D amps are voiced with a less prominent effect with the TREBLE knob. By design i guess. Which doesn't always work for me if i run a tweeterless cab like a 115 or 215 or 810 no tweet.. My old Alembic F2b does well for that as well as almost any SVT derivative or GK amp.. They can all get bright with a twist of the treble knob .. The treble control can do some damage if turned up tooo much but with no tweeters they can sound great..
All my opinion

I still need to try a air of teh S115 cube cabs.. I have not .. I asked this many years ago on here and it still have not been answered.. I wanted to know if the BAG END S115 ( being a 115) has as much deepness and an Aggy GS112? Those GS112s go deep for a 112.. I just dont like their lack of mid and note point and growl... The Bag End will growl...
So given the fact that one is a 12 and the other 115.. I wondered for a while how they compare . Since i had a pile of those GS112s years ago..
I do see a pair of some bag end in my future once again
