Bag End Club.

I have an eminence delta pro 12a in my one Bag End S112 cabs. Sounds fine. It growls. If you put it long side on the floor the coupling , it acutely sounds pretty good. Doesn't go super deep or super high but that is what i like about it. At the time i wanted a cheap replacement.. Works d out fine. Much better than a JBL D120 that it had at one time or the old SRO EV 112

I'm really liking these and the sound of ceramics in general again. Has anyone ever used eminence delta pro 12a woofers in a cab? I'm thinking about loading one of my 3 cuft ported 2x12 cabs with them.

I think there was a BD in the classifieds recently
That's definately the cab that made me a Bag End (for life) fan. The S15XD I have is about 80% of the S15BD, the last 20% missing from it is the deep lows, which I love. I'd love to get my hands on another S15BD to make a tall skinny stack. Too bad they aren't nearly as available used as the S15D's.

Just picked up this S15D on a trade couple of weeks ago and it had its first gig last Sat... Paired with an Eden D112XLT thru my GB Streamliner 900. Totally diggin it thus far & this mixed rig set-up was killin (roots reggae hit). Outdoor gig with this combo tomorrow night at San Francisco's Off The Grid (Fort Mason)... Still learning this box but already thinking of getting another one to pair :smug:

They sound different but have a similar overall presentation ....if that makes much sense.
Now you have me thinking.. A pair or 3 or the bag ends would not be a shabby rig at all.

IIRC my older S15 BD (DEEP) had a very similar tone as your CUBES but it goes deeper and lower. But the BD is about a 5 cu/ft box. and 24 inches deep ...On small club gigs it can be a bit of a problem.

I posted a photo of my OLD birch Bag End custom D-15-B-D.. which was the Dual 15" DEEP cab. For years i ran that plus an SVT flat back 810 side by side.
It was loaded with JBLs at that time.
My flat back SVT was Louder over all though so i gained it back a little on my then BGW power amp...
But i always prefered the 215 over the 810.. Its focused and tight while being extended down low..
I like the internal cabinet FILLer that Bag End uses in their cabs . It makes it a DRY sounding cab (something that i like) and you sorta get out what you put in ( considering its Not a full range cab)
But I always thought that my Bag Ends took EQ rather well.
It wasn't until the later 80s that i started to use 810s and 410s (not by choice but because of stage configurations) and started having problems with EQ. realizing now that it had to mostly do with the comb filtering those cabs do , just by the nature of the beast. Thats when i moved to a Meyer rig for about a year. ..
I still play 115s Genz cabs alot . But there is a real nice EARTHINESS that the bag end has an no one else has hit on.

This video opened my eyes. THANK YOU. . It may be time for a pair or three of the S15 cabs.

Yeah, I've been trying to find a source for that sound dampening for years. If someone knows, please tell me. I've had thoughts of a 3x15 myself. Not that I would generally need it. I'm also waiting on two custom drivers for a sealed 15156. I've got a lot of cabs now. But damn, the bags sound good. I've come close to trying some berg hd112 or hdn112 cabs recently but, an I really going to like them more than the s15d? A little more native low end would be nice and they are A little smaller but, I'm almost positive that I wouldn't get the same mids and top out of the berg woofers.

Played through a bunch of my cabs this morning. I am really digging these bags a lot. They have a lot of kids with the amp set flat. They sound pretty much how I have always we'd almost every other cab to sound like. I really may need a 33rd one. Can anyone compare a bergantino hd112 or hdn112 to the bag?
