I'm not 100% Sure on the tone but, the kappa pro 15a should do that as well as the delta pro 15a. But, the kappa pro appears to have the thick mid profile that I'm hearing with the s15d. They all model about the same in that cab. The voicing may be a bit different but, I wouldn't think too much. The bag has 1.8 xmax and the kappa is twice that. The delta has more but, voiced differently.

I like a DEAD Cab. I think they take EQ Better. I had to add some to all of my GENZ Uber cabs because they were not tight enough for my liking.. They use a thin layer of a foam... So I added this.. Its NOT the same as Bag End But its close. Also, Form Factor uses the same stuff that Bag End uses..

really thinking about grabbing a pair of the s15 cabs in birch, I've been wanting to try them for years, and I have never heard anything but praise...curious how they stand up to other 15" cabs? Mesa? Hartke hydrive? ampeg? even looking at the bugera 115...any input one way or the other? I've got an Eden wt-800, but lately I've been thinking of getting a Mesa head...still haven't decided the m6 carbine or tube head route though...

Sadly, no. This past 6 months 9 out of 10 gigs are acoustic rock, di to the board using my two notes cab torpedo. I've got one coming up soon though. At this point, I can pretty much tell what's going to work and what's not within 30 seconds of playing. These bags will obviously work better than most. I really fattened them up my boosting 80Hz +3db. They just can take a lot of power, even though they're so efficient that you don't need so much.

I'm receiving some delta 15a woofers to try in a sealed 2x15 today. The frequency response looks like what I think I'm hearing with the bags, or something like it.

I have an Old BE S12 birch that i bought back in the 80s.. I pulled it out this week.. Im doing a Musical Play and in a Pit band for the next 3 weeks. Actually not in a pit but far stage left.. Its in an OLD renovated Theater. The room sounds AMAZING!!!!
So i pulled out the BagEnd 112 for this gig to use as a Monitor. PUt my Old Ampeg SVT3 non pro on top and used the Alleva P bass.. Holy Cow. I forgot how great the cab GROWLED... When on the floor it has plenty of tight growly bottom end. the highs roll off naturally and very organically.
Its a musical Play by hit Nashville writer Becky Hobbs on keys and Duane Sciacqua. Duane has gigged years with Glenn Frey , Joe Walsh and a few months with Paul Mccartney... He freaked over the tone of this old cab.. I did too... It actually get pretty loud.. But im only using it as a small monitor and to blend in for this band.
SO my thinking is that the S15 may be equal too oor "MORE BETTEREST" than the S12.. I was going to get a Fearfull. And have been poking the tires for over a year about that too. BUt My gut always stopped me. I think teh BE would be more my thing.. Two or Three BagEnd S15 cabs would cover any gig that i need. I am going to go try one out today then hopefully find a pair

I'm really having a lovefest with these s15d cabs. Perfect voicing and some low end can be eq'd in with an 80Hz bump. I'm going to be trying out a peavey mini mega next week. It looks like a good match for these cabs. I only wish that it could push 3 bag ends! Not that anyone needs 3.

How does your fearful compare to your old BE?
I know tehy are different make up.
I just wonder how they would work with an Alembic F2B preamp, Crown poweramp and two S15 cabs.

Does the pair work well of satisfy you as much as the Berg 610?
I LOVE the mid presence of the BE.. Just wondering how they compare on a gig situation to lets say .. your Berg cab

The main difference is that the S15 sounds like a bass cab, great efficient voicing for playing in a mix. 12/6 sounds more like a studio recording. Impeccable sound, especially with big deep bass. The sound can be quite encompassing and huge. I find myself wanting to cut bass and find a bit more mid presence type kick that the 12/6 is designed to not inherently impart.

I agree with the be cabs having the right voice and I actually prefer it to the nv610. Nothing will ever have the same punch as the berg but, the berg will never sound as good in the mids and treble with the eq set flat. The voicing of the s15 is perfect for electric bass. It looks like I will be playing the last gig with my long time band in about a month. I will probably use the s15 stack. I'm breaking in the sealed 15156 now and it is great but, I think the bags may just be better.

Chris, seems as much as I dig your tone, I might actually be totally sold on the bags...I been looking for an excuse for years...I found a really good guitarist down here that is down for playing a lot of music I'm into, and my 13 yo son is probably going to be covering on drums...what better excuse, right? I'm likely going to be keeping this Eden wt-800 and that's about as flexible a head that exists...I could also power 4 bags off of it heh well, eventually, but I doubt I would ever need that
