Just got done playing them this morning. WOW! I really like them, I have a Traynor SB200 practice amp that sounds really good through them, and I really like the Genz. I tried one cab vs two, and I like one cab, two just gives more of everything. Beefier for sure. Just epic sound quality out of these things as well.
Smeet was 100% correct on the viability of these things for lower volumes. Lots of tone, very easy to handle. I can use the 900W Genz amp and not worry about having a smaller amp at home. Just turn the master. I basically use my Traynor for practicing in the living room with headphones so I can watch TV with the wife.
Well i only had the opportunity to play that cabinet once. OMG ...it was the best bass cabinet i ever played out of. I have owned a two 15 BE set up with the coax on top. Great for someone i am sure but just not for me. That being said can not get myself to sell the Coax 15. So not wanting to carry around a 4x10 cabinet, i opted for the 2x10deep/coax version of that cabinet and haven't looked back. I play smaller clubs and some smaller outdoor places without PA Support. Gorgeous! Have been pairing it with and Eden WT550 the last few years but just recently purchased a Fender Rumble 500 head to see what that sounded like with it. Rumble had such great reviews i just wanted to check it out. VERY nice combo. Only one gig under my belt with that combo with the Rumble head but either way.....The 4x10 BE is awesome....you don't want to tote the load get the 2x10(which also goes down to 40hz). OR stack two
But seriously that 4x10 BE hooked up to a tube Demeter head in the music store almost had me orgasmingOh and that was the thing for me with the 15 Bag Ends. I didn't think they were reaching the depth i wanted them to go to. The Deep(i had the shallow and had to sell it) 2x10's or 4x10's do. Thanks GoneFission (love that username)! I would have gone with the 4x10 version but couldn't get it in my car and at 53 years old - it's a bit too much. Both cabinets are actually the with-tweeter version but I bought a tweeter-less speaker from Bag End and converted one of them to a D10BD. The Demeter amp and Sadowsky bass provide all the treble boost I need so was overkill on the high end (5k).Sweet Allen!!

Well that certainly takes care of the lack of bass with just the regular BE 15's! That's awesome. A friend of mine owned one of those 15's on the bottom and it was awesome and got nicely low. Beast to move however. That stack...if you have the back...and room....is the REAL DEAL! Nice!

I'm looking into some different possibilities for cabinets, and I keep coming back to a pair of bag end s15-b's (the birch finish - I have cats and dogs)...I also run an eden wt-800C, newer one with the porch light...I have a clean setup with a little edge to it, and I've got a full on distortion setup that I like playing type o negative songs with, so that's just sludgy and nasty...I know the bags are good with being fed lots of watts, so bridged into a pair of 8 ohm cabs would give plenty of juice...is this going to be the last set of cabs I will ever want?

I'm not sure what has led you to believe that "bags are good with being fed lots of watts" but be careful. As someone that has blown a speaker in one of my D10-BXDs they are susceptible to damage given 600 watts pumped into them from a Mesa/Boogie Impulse-360. Note the correspondence with Dan from Bag End regarding QSC amplification's recommendation to purchased double the power capacity of your speaker ratings:
With at least double the power available, the key is to run the amp at half power and only use the extra power for headroom. But, it is near impossible to know how much amp power you are using at a particular time, so how do you prevent running the amp at full power continuously?
This brings us to the following point...
As a speaker manufacturer, we do not typically recommend doubling (or more) the continuous rating of the speaker because, in practice, we find it opens up the potential for damaging the speakers.
If you power one D10BX-D (400 W rating) with an 800 or 1000 W (continuous) amp, you certainly can blow the speakers if you run it to full power, without even clipping it.
In the real world, when matching an amp to the D10BX-D, we recommend an amp rated up to 500 watts of clean power. You can certainly use a more powerful amp, but we can't recommend it because of the potential for possible speaker damage.

obviously I would have to be careful...I could even run a pair of 8 ohm cabs on one side and run highs to the pair of 15's and run my 4 ohm ampeg pr410hlf on the other side with clean lows...that's why I like my eden - power output configuration capability is just so flexible, and there is enough power for just about anything...I wouldn't run it bridged mono and dime the amp out, that would be ridiculous, but having that much clean headroom I think would be great for a pair of s15's...I know they're efficient, and I have read many times that with these cabs, having a little surplus of power is beneficial...I could even use each side - each amp puts out like 300W at 8 ohms per side...probably perfect for those cabs...if that is too lean, I could bridge and use my master judiciously

I wish my s15xd had an attenuator for the "tweeter" or at least I wish I knew of an easy and "safe" way to disable it.
The s15 in my opinion is conservatively rated for its power handling but I wouldn't go nuts on wattage with them. For myself the beauty of them is how efficient they are with the power given.
The tuning of the cab doesn't give monstrous lows even with tons of power but gives very pleasing mid and low mid character even with only a hundred watts. A pair of them with a v4b can peel paint off the walls.
My opinion on the coaxial version is to skip it. It is a harsh high end and I keep the coax on the bottom and put the 15d up by my ears.

I like tweeters very little. So much that I converted my bottom cabinet (see photo in previous post) to a D10-BD by replacing one of the woofers. One tweeter works well and helps cut through the mud. Two is too many. Too much tweeter? Then use EQ.
Did you replace the jack plate/crossover? I'm just curious as I am compelled to disable the tweeter in mine.
Here are the instructions I received from Dan at Bag End:
Yes, the wiring is pretty simple. You will need a few feet of wire. Two different colors is best, but you could use colored tape on one. We use 16 AWG stranded. I don't recommend cutting the wires off the crossover, in case you want to use it again in the future.
Basically, you want to wire directly from the jackplate to the drivers, bypassing the crossover. The existing jackplate wires are not long enough. You could either attach extensions to the current jackplate wires (using something like crimp nuts) or you could remove the current wires and solder new wires on the jackplate. You will need two wires for each conductor (positive (red or blue) and negative (black)). If you use crimp nuts, there will be three wires for each conductor; the one from the jackplate and the two going to the drivers.

By the way, you could use your current E-10X cone driver (leave the tweeter screwed in back) as a full range driver. You don't have to purchase an E-10. Just wire the E10-X like the E-10.
