57p, can you comment on the power amp in the powered cabs? Assuming for the moment it's Bag End labeled, any idea if it uses the same power block as the Mesa D and WD and others?

The Arkham Beast sounded amazing through the Bag End so your Arkham pre amp should work great as well.
The Bag End are passive in this picture with their NEO drivers..
Thanks for the spec! I agree, looks like a different power block. The Mesa heads top out at 800W iirc.
I have a birch powered S15 (PS15). I had them use their neo driver to save about 5lbs. Anyway, love it.
You can NOT drive a passive cab with it. You CAN chain another powered cab to it. The internal amp is optimized to the driver for each cab.
I haven't tried an Oracle with mine and I don't see a complete spec sheet for it on their site. The minima power amp has an input sensitivity of +4dBu. If the Oracle has a matching or greater output it should work great.
Well, I finally got sorted with some technical assistance and parts from Bag End (exceptional customer service). I’ve had the S15 for a while, now joined with a S15X-B, which came to me with the crossover bypassed. This will be my outdoor rig for the summer/fall season.

No. Although I would love to find some. That is an S15 with an S12 on top. That’s been my go to rig for maybe 20 years? Maybe a little longer?
I've heard many say using a 12" and a 15" really sounds great together(and not just on Bagend). For the life of me, I don't know why. I mean, they're both a bit shy on bass(on Bagend). Can you educate me please, @IvanMike?
Dunno! The 12 adds some midrange the 15 doesn’t have. The two together sound great and punch
Yeah. The 15s handle it better but they both do OK. They don’t really break up, but there is a low frequency rolloff on both of those more pronounced on the 12 - that said, they sound very tight. I don’t have an external low pass filter, although the subway has one which can be adjusted. I adjust it occasionally and find a good spot, but it’s usually just to tighten up the sound.

Digging through some old boxes while cleaning out the Home Office / Man Cave / Music room and found this dozy! My old band Damzil in winter late 1992, maybe my 3rd or 4th gig with the band (100% original material)... 1991 Carvin LB75 (Maple neck thru with Alder wings & Ebony board) strung EADGB into an MXR graphic EQ (blue box), AMP BH-250, and my first Bag End cab... the S15-B bought at Rudy's on 48th Street NYC. The gig was here St Moritz Grill
and since I'm posting... my current pair of D12-B. The band I was putting together fell apart (old drummer decided he isn't moving back to NJ)... so I put my older one back with the 40 watt Engater (man that is a decent sounding low watt rig!) for my daughter to start playing her SX Shorty P bass through, and the new one is with the Ashdown (hands down my favorite pairing!).

Thanks... Yes it is a 2017 I bought here on TB last year. Strung it with some TI Jazz Rounds. I've owned the 1968 Starfire V guitar since the early 90s... it was my Grandfather's from 71 until he passed.

I've always wanted one but thought it too primitive to justify. I kept looking at vintage but want to upgrade it to a brass Alembic style bridge so more recent import makes more sense. I haven't got to the bridge work yet, but it is in the plan soon. Stock pickups and staying passive, but brass nut and bridge are getting added. It is a very fun bass to play and sounds awesome.
Well... I just made a deal with a guy on FB market place to pick up a second S15-D.
He has a S12-D too. Wants $480 for the stack. I'm torn - but think I'll just stick with the 15.
