I don't know. A lot of bands "Come back" but are just not so great. Many have been named here.

Yup, because you sell a couple copies of your latest and do a tour doesn't make it a golden age. That would imply MASSIVE popularity and sales. Fogerty is definitely a good example, as are Yes, Black Sabbath, Santana, and many others mentioned.

Also, old catalogue getting a bump in sales (Doors being mentioned) does not equal a golden age. GA would imply new productivity as well as popularity.

Not so much? Phish, Doobies, Beatles. All for different reasons, eg. the Beatles never had a lull in sales or popularity, they just didn't do a record for a year or two.

Yep, this.

Iron Maiden had their time in the 80s and a resurgence since 2000.

Anthrax started to make a come back in 2011.

Carcass imploded in 1994 but their release in 2013 put them back on top.

For me, their 2nd Golden Era was "Test for Echo" through "Snakes and Arrows".
