joshua-Yeah, I know I'm a chucklehead. But as usual, just busting chops...its what I do1 run and getting the last 7 hitters in a row is laboring? 7 ip, 6 hits, 2bb, 6 so?
By gritty I meant making the pitches he need to in order to work out of what little real trouble he got in.
Thome, Konerko, Pierzynski, Dye, and Podsednik aren't exactly lightweights!
Good thing there's a wildcard!

By the way, I forgot to give props to far and away the best team in the league right now; The Boston Red Sox.
What a balanced team, great offense, good D, and some of the best pitching too. Also, I see no signs that they're going to stumble, and if anything appear to maybe be getting stronger!

Hey, that's the same thing the Sox have been saying since '96! And the Marlins, Angels, Marlins, Mets, Astros, etc.
GOOOO AAAAAANGEEEELLSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
He could have gotten out of that jam. He may have given up one run, but don't think he'd give up both.

Haters suck.
pwned!

To be "fair and balanced", I do not assume the Yanks current run guarantees them anything. I am simply pleased that the year did not turn out to be the cakewalk (in the division) it appeared to be early on...
It is pretty much a toss up all over as well. Mid-August and there's only about a dozen teams that are out of it (realistically speaking).
