Hmm..I regularly attend games at Fenway, and I really only have two complaints. The seats in the grand stand admission area are too small and crammed together. Also, they need to get rid of those damn pillars. There is no excuse to pay $45 for seat and have a pillar blocking some part of the field. Other than that, I've always have a great time at Fenway.

I can understand that. Myself, I love going to the games and we tend to be able to avoid traffic (a big plus!). we buy the good beer at the outdoor food service.
But the seats are uncomfortable and I hope to God that I never have to take a um, well you know, #2 at the Stadium.
Fenway is great. and they got some cold Sam Adams to go along with some good food.
I saw the sox play the Angels there back in 03.
They've done a lot of upgrades since then, adding a new concession concourse under the bleachers with great food and CLEAN and huge restrooms. They added the right field roof deck which is like a bar sitting on top of fenway, and the Jordan's Furniture consession area in the left field corner. Of course, they have the green monster seats as well. You owe it to yourself to get back there and visit again.
My only complaints about Fenway are what I mentioned though. Fix those, add about 10,000 more seats some where, and I'll be happy!
Haven't been to Yankee Stadium since the 80's when I lived in NYC. Never had a problem except that other patrons often urged me to take off my hat like I was in church or something. 
The new Sox ownership team has made improvements every year and sooner or later they will get to the narrow seats in the grandstand. One of the architects of Camden Yards - Janet Marie Smith - has been working fulltime for the Sox and is in charge of the changes. I heard her speak once on this topic and she knows her stuff and is a fan of the game. The general gist is that they will stay in that 38,000 range for seats primarily because to add too many more would overwhelm the Kenmore Sq. neighborhood. So when they do give widebutts like me wider seats in the grandstand they will end up with fewer seats; them they will probably add a deck somewhere else. I don't recall if anything can be done about the pillars though.

xgabriele is right on regarding the pitching matchup last night. Beckett left one changeup up and over the plate to Stairs (who hasn't missed many good pitches let alone meatballs) and it was in the Jays bullpen before you knew it for 3 runs.
Halladay was almost out of the 4th without any runs; but Coco hustled down the line and the Jays couldn't turn the double play. One run scored, Halladay seemed a little pertrubed, then Ellsbury took him yard for two more runs. A couple of doubles later and all of sudden it is 4-0.
Ellsbury's swing reminds me a little of Damon. He's also faster and has (do I need to say it...aww why not...a better arm
)
First time Paps was used for three days in a row. Fortunately, the previous two outings were short.
Halladay was almost out of the 4th without any runs; but Coco hustled down the line and the Jays couldn't turn the double play. One run scored, Halladay seemed a little pertrubed, then Ellsbury took him yard for two more runs. A couple of doubles later and all of sudden it is 4-0.

Yeah, these are the same things I've heard for the most part. I really do think it is important that they try and get rid of the pillars, though I have no idea how they would actually do it.

Sloppy game all around by the Sox. Failure to execute a sacrifice bunt on two occasions. Schilling is still trying to figure out how to pitch when he doesn't have a 94-95 fastball to rely on. Some pitches that missed by getting too much of the plate by all Sox pitchers. It was nice to take 4 out of 6 on the homestand. Tonight, Wake is back on the mound - I hope his back is fine and the hitters find their stroke again in Baltimore.
Agreed. Watching Cora and Crisp try to bunt last night was pathetic. I'll never understand how some pro ball players can have trouble just sticking the bat out to tap a ball. It has to be the most elemental part of hitting. Schilling wasn't as bad as I expected him to be, but the bullpen was sure disapointing last night.
Ever the optimist - I will say that J.D. Drew is having a terrible season. It will be interesting to see what happens when Manny comes back - I think they will start Ellsbury in right. And Theo has a terrible feeling in the pit of his stomach after having signed him to such a large long-term contract.
Last night was good. It reminded me of the way the Sox played earlier in the season when if the one part of the team wasn't going well, the other part picked them up.
Wake didn't have the good knuckler; but with 5 1/3 innings of shutout relief and some clutch hitting from Papi, Tek and Coco and the almost obligatory Coco highlight reel catch, the Sox put another W on the board and cross off another day on the calendar.
Any Baltimore fans on the thread? That team can sure hit and there are some young arms coming up - Olson showed some pretty good stuff last night. Any ideas on what happened this year and what the mood is for next season?

Yes, he is having a terrible season. I made my above comment right after he hit into a double play with the bases loaded and one out last night. It really pissed me off, as I could practically see the future when he stepped up to the plate. Ellsbury is has been absolutely fantastic so far, and I would love to see him take over the spot in right when Manny comes bac.

But the offense did their thing, and that was great to watch. The bullpen also gave 5 scoreless innings, which was also finally nice to see, especially after watching Delcarmen and Okijima give away the game the night before.
