Bass in the Post Zombie Apocalyptic World

So, after the power grid breaks down, and rest of us that are left alive are scrambling around, trying to stay safe and hoarding food and weapons, would there still be a portion of your day devoted to playing bass, looking for forgotten vintage gems in the backs of closets, hoarding strings etc.

What about the prospect of those rare events when we fire up the generators and throw a jam at normal stage volume. Does anyboby else think of this, or is it just me

I'd be looking for Gene's original axe bass. I bet you the edge on it was real. That'd be an epic zombie weapon.

Mind you, if anyone survived the zombie apocalypse, he would. I'd probably have to fight him in an arena style match to the death for his bass.



Maybe I'll just stick with the shotgun.

Before the power went out for good the Talkbass site would be awash in Threads arguing about the relative abilities of Fieldy, the merits of Adler Basses, and of course arguments about TAB, Jaco, Jeff Berlin and Gene Simmons as Zombie Threads rise to walk the Earth-mwah-ha-ha-ha! I got a DB, so amplification is no problem. I'd totally sell out. Being someone who's good at figuring out what music is popular, I'd soon be playing whatever the zombies like, and steadfastly refuse to play music humans like because "humans are a small and unpopular niche market with outdated pre-Apocalypse tastes".

Set up some sort of pitfall trap around your stage; play your gig and do your part to solve the zombie problem at the same time!

^ This. Less the unicorns, and plus lots and lots of guns and whiskey. Unfortunately music gear is the last thing I'd pack when making that trip to the mountains. Maybe I'll bring a harmonica
