Great looking bass, Cliff. I wish you many happy years with it.

Beautiful bass! I've got one of these on order as well.
Very nice! And good to see some Kiesel love around here. They are the most underrated basses out there. I wish more TB'ers knew what they were missing!
will this one get the front row seat of your Jazz Bass Special??
Beauty!! Now you just need to get some gigs!!![]()

Hows the adjustment to the new string spacing?
I noticed that going up to a 5 string with 19mm was no real adjustment for me. However, going back down was surprisingly difficult. I played my SG at rehearsal for the first time since, maybe 15 years, after exclusively playing the bass. Strumming chords were not an issue, but flat picking notes was extremely difficult.
Love it, was this an "in-stock" or one you speced out?
How's that neck profile compared to your 6 string?
My custom shop Kiesel also buzzed pretty badly when I got it. A luthier friend of mine looked at it and opined that the nut may have been overcut since he couldn't get rid of the buzz with truss rod and bridge adjustments.
Of course, ordering the biggest, most jumbo frets offered didn't help a bit, I'm sure.
I have since had that bass defretted and a new nut was cut for that. Action is now super low with no issues.
Well, except that it always sounds more bassy than I like, even with the Kalium single coils. Running in passive mode helps some.
Looking forward to hearing how this one works for you.
Post the option sheet you received, please, and weight.
Congrats on your first Kiesel! Got my first one about two years ago.
I still want a nice P-J bass at some point though. Congratulations, and I hope you get many years of fun with your new bass! It's not fancy but elegant and useful
