I also have cream covered DiMarzios in my MIM Jazz (black, rosewood & tort) but I don't have any pics of that one.

Thanks Jio, I had seen that one, was hoping for another one. Good looking products, but $30 for the pearoid (or more depending on exchange rates) is steep IMHO. Especially sijce I don't know how close a match the color is.

On another note, I've ordered cream PUP covers, aged Stratocaster knobs, and ivory colored dome knobs, when I get them I'll be able to compare which have the closest colors. If I have to, I will experiment with painting the finger rests using Krylon, if the buttercream is close enough. Also considering using a maple fingerest, at least it will match the fingerboard.

That is Guy Lewis's site - I don't recall the ebony ones I bought costing that much, but it was over a year ago now. It's not that difficult to make a tug-bar out of wood (and paint it creme), and if you know someone w/one of the new 3D printers it would be pretty easy to make one out of the material which is off-white in colour.

I've had various basses with DiMarzio P's and J's, all PAF's except one. I bought a brand new DiMarzio P some years back and found that it sounded exactly like the PAF's. Good to know they kept a winner.

Here's my current creme setup - a Warmoth J. The PAF pickups were purchased many years ago, still in a sealed box, and sat in my parts drawer unopened until this build.

Oh, I see - the pic w/the amp is the same bass. It must have been affected by the lighting to make it look so different. (thought they were two different basses) Good to know as most Fiesta Red's are much redder/darker/richer. In terms of that car colour, I'm not clear on exactly which FR is authentic as I've included a pic of a '56 T-bird (car) with a salmon FR finish much different than the rich tomato red version. I rather doubt it spent much time in a bar!

I got my cream aged strat knobs, aged ivory dome knobs and non-fender cream PUP covers. The good news, the Fender and dome knobs are close in color and both will work well with the Antiqua, being more of a true cream color. The PUP covers are darker and have more of a brownish tint. They are also slightly large for the Antigua pickguard so I probably won't use them. Tney would be fine if you aren't trying to match knobs, tug bar etc.

I will probably try to match a spray paint and do both stock black Fender covers and tug bar, if I can't find Fender brand PUP covers which are more cream covered. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so anal about stuff, or is that just a bassist trait? Should I start a thread over in Hardware for continuation of this topic?
