'76 Mustang with Fender '62 "Original" Precision pickups under cream covers. I sanded the pickup covers down a bit when I installed them to round off the corners and get rid of the plasticky patina.

Here's mine with empty shell aftermarket PUP covers a and maple tug bar (tug bar from Ebay $9.95). I didn't like the color of the PUP shells, so ordered and just rec'd some vintage white from grguitars.com (photo's later) which I like much better ($14.95), and will use. I will also use the faux ivory dome knobs which are lighter than the Fender cream strat knobs. Once I get the new wiring harness from bassman_Al on Thursday, I'll install and photo the finished product.

I've only got two working basses at the moment...both are sunburst Ps with black (well, b/w/b) pickguards. I have cream pickup covers on order for both of them.

I have a project bass that I hope to start in on soon. It's a black P copy w/ maple board. I am going to slap a b/w/b guard on it (it's currenty w/b/w) and I have a white pup cover already for it.

I don't dislike black pickup covers for Ps; I just happen to think cream or white looks better on the color combos I have going. Plus, I just can't leave stuff alone apparently.

Here are the antique white PUP covers and knobs. Sorry for the poor cell phone quality, I'll get a better photo after I paint and install an antique color tug bar. The colors are really closer to cream than the photo shows.

Started life as a black and white Squier with a rosewood fret board.The cream pups really set it off.

Is that an aged white pearloid, or just straight white pearloid. I have an aged white pearloid and I'm wondering how cream would look. Regardless, I like the look of your choice.
