As for me, i'm finding the info interesting... it's all part of the "cream" process.
It's not easy being ... cream.

I know.
About 38% of us were first attracted to bass because we
saw some smart looking cream DiMarzios .. . probably J's... back in the day.
Well decades later, a dream has come true. I'm sitting on a set of PAF DiMarzio P/j pups.

Just can't decide what color SX p/j to put them in.
Red? ...
Show use your stuff!

WHAT IS THAT!??!!
Is it yours?
Details man, details!
I built this a number of years ago. A friend had an old (late 80's? early 90's?) raw maple Tele guitar body (aftermarket WD or ?) collecting dust in his garage so I bought it from him for cheap to create a true Tele bass (prior to Fender/Squier doing so but of course after LF's ASAT) dedicated to Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge/Cactus/Beck, Bogert ,Appiece) who made his own DIY Tele bass in the late 60's. (true - you can see him playing it on the Ed Sullivan Show "You Keep Me Hangin' On" in 1968 on youtube) Allparts '51 RI P neck (de-fretted by me) with a slimmed hs to fit stubby '66 Mustang ovals, bone nut, nitro tinted neck, highly scalloped body w/Wilkinson bucker and Bill Lawrence P, a Tonestyler tone pot and 3-way toggle switch. And it's string-thru. I chopped the lower horn and designed/cut the tort pg. I sent Tim Bogert a pic of it and he replied "cool!", which needless to say - made my day! It's fairly heavy w/all that maple, but sounds great!

My favorite:

Not usually a fan of pointy basses or cream pups, but I'm strangely liking this bass.

I had a black one like this back in the day loaded with a P/J set of EMG's. These look real nice. Wouldn't mind getting one.Not usually a fan of pointy basses or cream pups, but I'm strangely liking this bass.
