I'm sorry folks, I have to go off topic for a minute:

Does anyone else think this is rediculous?

Can someone here please help me think of one legitimate reason why someone would buy a bass with two necks, one tuned EADG, the other tuned BEAD, when one could more easily procure a bass with one neck and five strings tuned BEADG?

yeap! it's probably incredibly heavy too. besides a huge waste of wood! how about going green!??? lol

Let's see, I'll have:

- The Funk Machine (I empathize with the many who posted this)
- A real '51 Precision
- Early '70s J: Black on Black, maple fingerboard, pearl inlays / white binding
- Early '70s J: Sunburst (or clear), tortoise P/G, rosewood fingerboard, pearl inlays
- The newest 4-string Carl Thompson made for Les - has a ball-type scroll and is black
- Carl Thompson's "$10 million dollar bass"

Hey, that John Entwistle Precision is awesome...I wonder if there's any info on that!! Looks like a holy grail of sorts, if they only made 20.

What are basses you wish you could have, but could never get? Here's mine:

Tim Commerford's double neck Fender Custom Shop Jazz Bass. I want it:bawl:!!

Maybe one neck could be for flats and the other for rounds. I dunno, but wouldn’t it be cool if they made one with three necks? or four necks? or maybe something like this:
