Basses you have a bad hankering for...

Dani/Jerry Jones w/ 2 pickups..shorthorn.
Certain T-Bird/T-Bird-ish basses w/ chrome p/u covers.

When you start customizing them they can get a little pricey. But it's awful hard not to when they offer all the options that they do. And it could get even pricier but I stayed away from some of the more exotic woods they offer.
Those are beautiful,I’ve been to the Memphis store,but there wasn’t one around at the time.I kinda what to take a chance on this:

I’m totally smitten with the look of this Dennis Fano design/Novo Rivolta Combinata VII bass.

I have been drooling over this for a while. Mainly because of it's rarity, I think. one of less than 20 made, I believe.
When I saw this bass, I almost drooled.
But those aren't being made any more. So my hankering now is for something like this (Link Removed).

I really don't have a hankering for anything off the shelf at the moment, or a custom from someone.
I'm still planning on building a couple, but that's as much for the skills learned in the process as much as anything.
Might buy some pickups and swap some around though.

Vintera P bass.
I have a Player but I'm gassing hard for the big round neck. There's a Dakota Red on sale that's keeping me up at night. But the Seafoam Green also calls me...
Can't justify it though. What am I gonna do with two P basses that are practically the same? I only use flats and with my Rumble 100 the Player is dark already, the Vintera has an even darker pickup. They look and sound the same, basically.
And it's not like I could sell the Player easily. It's pretty hard to sell gear at a decent price over here.
I should have bought the Vintera in the first place. Never settle for less than what you want!
