i wanted an aerodyne badly since i first saw and tried one at least 15 years ago when one caught my eye at hollywood sam ash, then there was that wonderful tone. i was hooked like a fish, but after a shoulder injury, it became an unattainable dream - after i sold my mustang, i wanted one even moreso, as i wanted a great PJ sound with a stronger P pickup.

now my shoulder is better, i ordered one. it's due to be delivered today. i don't think i've ever wanted a bass, guitar or camera so much for so long.

It is a CW signature, but that has nothing to do with me wanting a EBMM Stingray with that finish and no pickguard. There was a picture of a fretless with a similar finish & no PG posted a while back. I thought it was even nicer looking due to the rosewood board, but when I was looking for the pic, I found the CW sig first, which was close enough.

The JMJ Mustang. I don't think I'll be spending that kinda money on a bass though. So, perhaps I'll settle with the Squier CV Mustang.

1961 Fender Precision Bass in Fiesta Red finish with original hard shell case
From reverb, obviously no affiliation...Lol!

I love this bass, check out the pics...the neck must be butter, no no, bacon grease! The only thing this is missing is the cigarette burns on the headstock.

What's below the pickguard? Is it that massive 'trench' they sometimes have or did they drill from the pickup to the 'Cockpit'?

I've wanted one for some time as well, but given that I've already got 2 black P's and a black J, I'm going to have a hard time justifying getting one unless I get a windfall of some sort. So I'm somewhat envious of yours.

The body is ash...it’s the same design fender has been using for their AV line since forever, but this one has a roasted body and neck...they’re known to be very lightweight and resonant..
