Hey, so I had issues with the PowerAdd cutting off. Not everyone will, so I think it's still a viable option, and your mileage will vary depending on your playing style, instrument/pickups etc, but when I was really pushing the amp playing upright bass my PowerAdd would shut down. This happened multiple times. I talked to Steve at Phil Jones Bass, and he recommended a few things, among them the Krisdonia battery. I didn't want to jury-rig one of those drill lead acid batteries - for one, I'm not really skilled at those kinds of things and I didn't want to take the trouble. I also wanted the thinner, smaller form factor and to keep it as light as possible, so I tried the Krisdonia and I found that it didn't cut out in circumstances where the PowerAdd battery would. Therefore, I think I have determined that the Krisdonia battery can deliver more peak current than the PowerAdd without shutting down. So if that is a concern of yours, I would recommend the Krisdonia battery over the PowerAdd. Good luck!
