So whats the status for everyone here with a Bee on order?

The status on my 9 string Bee is that the body is roughed out and the neck is good to go. Freds supposed to be sending me pictures at some point but i dont expect to hear from him durring this whole NAMM event that he's at. I did receive a message from his wife Petra telling me that my custom wound tripple "JSBC's" are on hold until Mr. Reinhard at Delano Pickups finishes up with NAMM as well. Fred told Petra to tell me that he cannot do any electrical routing for my bass untill Mr. Reinhard sends him the custom wound pickups. This is the body at this point. Theres a black dyed veneer between the Koa top and the flamed Limba body. I hope to get some more pics of the body carving in where you can see that veneer soon.

In the dark. Last I heard was that the body that developed the crack was out, my top should be salvageable, and... that's it. Original agreement was to have the bass in early November, so it's a bit behind.

all specs worked out, top and board wood acquired (Fred has been holding them for me)... waiting on final price
I'm leaning 85% to the 'outside' choice... maybe 95% leaning to the new body style

Due in Early to Mid February last time I checked. Sent an email to Fred asking about updates etc a few days ago but do not expect to hear back form him until later this week.
Was supposed to get progress shots a month ro two ago but that never happened. No biggie.
I picked a body blank many months ago, and as of right around the end of 2008 Fred was working on colour samples for me. I hope I get my bass soon, it was due in September of last year.So whats the status for everyone here with a Bee on order?

i have no idea...i got some pics of wood back in august/september...i think the neck is being built (graphite 5 string), but i'm not sure...i think fred is going to start on it when they get back from namm

Mine is too, but mine is all dirty lookin.....
I don't actually like that shape too much. If the body had a deeper cutaway on the right side, a bit more curvy it'd be a winner for me. But not in it's current incarnation.
Yep, curly white limba it be. Fred says it has a good bit of flame to it, probably will show up once painted I'm guessing.Hey whats up Nad!

I think the New Mystery Bee would look awesome as an acoustic bass. Not really digging it as it stands though.
I agree with theNoseBleedKid about the new design. If it where a bit more curvy etc it would actually look a bit like the old Tung basses, which would appeal to me alot.
Must be stressful for Fred now after Namm..so many basses that have been delayed and so many basses that are due to completion soon. That would mean my bass is at the bottom of the priority list

Whats up guys, well all together its been over a three year wait in getting my bass to the stage that its at... (due to so many changes in options and design) So i just now received an update and wanted to post about the progress of my bass as of today. I just received an Email from Fred in where he...... well, heres the actual message he sent me.
"Hey Dave,
We got back yesterday, and I have your pickups! (don't even want to tell you what this set costs!).
I'll start routing things monday, and get some pics to you.
Talk soon,
Fred"
Well thats the message, and looks like i'm one of the lucky guys thats getting his bass worked on right after he finished up with the whole NAMM thing.
The thing that had the build of my bass on hold was my custom wound 9-string tripple JSBC pickups. Reinhard over at Delano pickups was also tied up with NAMM, and so it took a bit longer to make my pickups and get em' over to Fred. Fred also told me that he would have to hold off on the routing of the electronics/pups cavetys untill he got the pups from Reinhard.
Well, thats my bit of good news.
Has anyone else heard from Fred?
