Hoots! It sounded great .. I used the 2xNV115 profile. .had it set 100% flat for most of the night. ..but kicked in a couple of my presets here n there..for some OD and a li'l comp too. Unreal!

Hey Rob, I liked them a lot too but trust me, you'll like them even more with these recent updates.

Just wondering out loud here. ... but if, for example, we download the newest firmware. ...decide we'd rather the previous firmware settings /fx...what have you. Can we go back and re download a previous version?
I'm not at all saying that this will happen. ..as all the new upgrades have been great. .. but. ...just a thought.

I posted this in another thread. ..but thought is applicable here, so. ...

With the B|Amp's features. .. I use it just as much at home. ..headphones in, phone (mp3 player) into aux in - which has its own volume control....etc .... I find that I get a great sound outta the headphones and the sound my bass is producing there and then. ..is totally useable onstage. A lotta amps don't quite match this as well. The sound I get thru the phones doesn't translate to the stage sound as well.
Either way. .. it's a great amp, with unparalleled features. And, yes. ..a world class DI too. I've had nothing but excellent results and high praise from sound engineers about it.

I don't want to speak for Jim but I think you will have that option. As long as you have the files saved, it's really up to the user to decide what they have loaded.

Right. .. I'm a tad lacking in file saving, sharing, downloading, turning on a pc, etc..:woot:
I can and do regularly use a laptop but the ins n outs and so forth. ... as Iggy so eloquently put it. .... I'm a passenger :bassist:

Thanks

You can certainly go back to previous versions if you would like. The newer distortions have, IMO, brought the distortions up to a whole new level. Personally, I think the term "distortion" is in many ways a misnomer for what is in reality a harmonic generator. And with the newer circuits, you will experience another level of harmonics which are very rich and musical sounding. I'm looking forward to releasing these in the not too distant future. And a big thank you to Husky123 for devoting his valuable time and talents to helping get these right!

Regarding this next release, I may be offering it in two versions. The first version will stick to the current format where the blend of each distortion (Dist1 and Dist2) are pre-determined in the firmware, and the second version will reassign the Aux volume knob as a Clean/Dist blend control. You will still have the Aux in, but in this version you will have to adjust the volume of the Aux Input at the source (i.e. Ipad, MP3 player, etc.).

It can totally change the attitude of the drive with the quick turn of the dial.

Yup. I have been calling for overdrive/distortion with a clean blend option since back in my Guitar World's Bass Guitar Magazine days, and fortunately, a lot of manufacturers are now offering this feature.

Yep. .. I use it alla time on my Super Bassman. But .. .I tell ya.... with how good the B|Amp sounded thru the NV215 last week. .. I won't be waiting as long before I use the pair again. & a blendable overdrive control will sweeten that pot even more
