Bergantino NV212T

interesting, but not super surprising. Does a single NV212t deliver similar tonal quality compared to the NV610 ? .. I know it can't possibly deliver the same SPL of course.
I certainly love the sound of my NV610, but I am not so in love with its weight/size. I also rarely need all of the stage volume it can produce with amps in the 300-800w range.
I keep thinking that one NV212t could get me where I want to be as far as a great sealed cab sound, but with the same dimensions as my CN212 (although ~30lbs heavier).
this idea keeps nagging at me, but I keep finding ways to ignore it until I read threads like this one.

It definitely has the sealed thing down, but tonally, it's a little different. It's a little deeper, and smoother than the 610, which really appeals to me, since I'm a bridge pickup guy, and I appreciate the extra heft to the notes. What surprised me about it, was how versatile it actually is. I do use the tweeter, but just barely. With that thing cranked, I'd imagine it would get as "modern" as you could stand.
As far as the weight goes, it certainly doesn't feel like 70lbs. Maybe it's the dimensions of the cab, and the placement of the handles, but it feels lighter than the specs would suggest.

I really wanted an NV412T, but I also wanted portability. This solution costs $800 more, but it gives me a modular setup that can cover any gig I'll ever play.
Anything specific prompt you to think you needed the second cab? With the volume at noon do you feel like there's still plenty of headroom on that NV212?!
I like the sealed cabs for their punch and vintage vibe though I was impressed with the HDN212. Sounded great for a ported cab and being a 4ohm cab at 700watts I'd be able to pull the full 500watts off my head if needed.
I haven't had a headroom issue with the single NV yet, and I don't really expect to with the B|Amp - it's a powerhouse!
I got the second cab for a couple of reasons:
1) I like the thickness of extra speaker displacement.
2) In the Austin area, a lot of venues are woefully under-PA'd, or don't know/care about running the PA properly. Either way, the bass is usually neglected in the mixes here, and much of the time, I have to rely on what's coming off the stage.
That makes perfect sense. I like the NV being 8ohm for that reason...that I can add a second cab if needed rather then start over if I purchase the 4ohm HDN212...not to mention that I prefer sealed cabinets. I'm guessing that the single cabinet is going to cover 80% or better(Possibly all if FOH is an option) of my needs and that's really what Im after with my first Berg cab. I want it to be something that I use ALL THE TIME! I'm sure I'll upgrade my head before I'll need a second cabinet.

Woah! What a rig! Thunder awakening with 412s.
The single NV212T gets loud enough for the majority of gigs out there; nice that we can add another if we need to. On the HDN212, an option for the majority of the new amps that easily do 2.6 ohms, is to add a HDN112. The 312 stack easily covers everything I could think of.

Yeah, it's something to behold! With the top cone nearly at ear level, it's stupid loud at pretty much any volume. It sounds even better when I take a few steps forward.

I'm curious about this as well. I don't NEED another amp, but I sure would love to hear what an old V4-B can do through through this cab. Or, you know... Both of them.
I've put both my '74 SVT and V4B through the NV212T. Glorious as expected. The only "issue" was overhang since the 212 is narrow.
I use the SVT Heritage with NV212 weekly. Great for small and big gigs.
Ain't the 212 8 ohms? No probs for yr SVTs?

Here's the best reason to have a pair of NV212T's:
Even with something as small as a B|Amp at the top, the rig stands well over 5 feet tall!

Not of this show, but our drummer happens to own a GORGEOUS facility called Windy Hill Studio in Austin.
Here's one of our originals.
We went live off the floor, but had to redo the vocals (WAY too much bleed).
**Edit** That's the B|Amp going direct to an API console, if anyone cares. Haha.
