Just checking in with the NV212 owners to see how happy everyone is so far. I am in a bit of a gig down cycle for the next 6 weeks or so and thought I would re-consider adding the NV212 to my gear options. Already have a CN212 as a primary cab that I love to death. Also have an NV610 (non tweeter) which does not go out too much because of the schlep factor ... that and I generally just don't need that much firepower on stage.
For amps, I have a Walkabout (300w @ 4ohms, but only 165@8ohms), Demeter VTBP-M-800DJ (800w @ 4 ohms, 400w @ 8 ohms). I also have a Fender Studio which delivers 200+ solid watts of all tube goodness @ 8ohms and is typically a great amp with sealed cabs. Only odd thing about this amp is that it is unusually wide so I might have to run an NV212 on its side to avoid the dreaded T-bone look. But I could figure out some kind of tilt back arrangement, it would probably be just fine (other than possible dispersion issues).
So, how do all of you (still) like your NV212's ? and how about any feedback on the power it needs to sound its best .. particularly given that it's rated at 8ohms instead of 4 like the CN212.
let me know .. thanks
