Best amp for Hofner

I bought at this year's Dallas guitar show the AC100 and FB215 reproductions made by JMI (met Richard and Justin Harrison while there.) I play in a Beatles tribute - running my Hof through that (with the pyramid strings) = Macca 1964 - especially on tunes such as Hard Day's Night, You Cant Do That...

I play my cavern bass and my 500/1 Beatle bass through a Markbass LMII seated in the Northcoast Music's Vox T100 head and trolly setup. Looks just like Pauls Beatles rig, and sounds awesome. I also use an Ampeg Svt 4 pro with an Alembic F-1X pre on the frontend.

IMO, any good amp will work well with a Hofner, but i usually use this one since it looks so cool (custom scratch-built 180watt tube head w/super beatle cab with 2x15 JBL K140's):

Hello,

Funny Odysseios mentions the Vox Amplug. I'm looking for a small amp (storage space is my major constraint) to plug my Hofner V62 in. He's not the first one who mentions the Vox Amplug. I'm seriously thinking about getting one, but that, of course will be for playing when I'm on my own.

I'm still looking for a good small size amp. Sound quality rather than volume is the most important feature (besides size). The two strongest candidates at the moment are the Vox Pathfinder 10B and the New Roland Microcube Bass. Has anyone tested either of them? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

TalkHofner

Vox Amplug is only my practice amp (but sounds very good with Hofner!); on gig i use a Fender Bassman 250/115, single Eminence cone 15", purchased for my Fender Precision before i own the Hofner, and here too the sound is good. If i don't go wrong there is also something hystorical in a Hofner plugged into a Bassman... :D
