Best Line from Spinal Tap?

My favorite line wasn't from the movie, but from Steven Tyler's reaction to it:

“That movie bummed me out, because I thought, ‘How dare they? That’s all real, and they’re mocking it!"

DUH!!! That's why it's called a "mockumentary!"

When he was even younger than that, he was on the “Private Secretary” show, which starred Ann Sothern. (That’s one of my favorite shows - he just happened to be on it.)

The ‘Tap’ are overrated, it’s all about their original bass player,Ronnie Pudding.
He was the real brains of the outfit. He made a come back a few years ago.
He played a show in Chicago a few years ago, it’s on YouTube.

I find myself using this on a surprising number of occasions:

"No one knows who they were... or.... what they were doing..."

The next line, "But their legacy remains" is a funny line that a lot of people miss.

(To explain joke if you don't get usually ruins it--but in case someone doesn't get it-if nobody knows who you are or what you were doing, you don't have a legacy)

Actually one of the things I liked the best wasn't a line, but one thing that Nigel did.
When he did the solo withs he violin (Not the bow)--that was funny--but the best part was when he retuned the vision while doing that.

I've used that last sentence for decades in scores of situations. So many great lines in that film.
