No trying to be a wise @$$ here, but the sound of harpsichord rather says 1690s to 1790s. The harpsichord became completely extinct during the early 19th century and was only gradually rediscovered during the 20th. So in the 1890s, no harpsichord.

Now if you tell me that all of this is completely irrelevant, I might agree.

Maybe where you are, but in colonial Michigan the harpsichord never fell out of favor and has been a mainstay of music for over three hundred years. You can really hear it in most of the early Motown and Stooges/ MC5 records if you listen closely. (sarcasm font applied)
