Best looking jazz bass?

My friend's knock off Jazz. Looks pretty retro 1960's fender jazz vibe. Tort guard, rosewood, 3-tone burst. The only diffrence with a real fender was the neck profile, it was pretty chunky which i liked very much. Great tone. A shame he sold it. His bass made me fall in love with the jazz look.

Okay not the greatest pic, but sunburst/tort/rosewood and natural/tort/rosewood are two of the classic looks, no? Also Munji's pink bass, that usually shows up in these sorts of threads.

I've got so much Gas right now, but then what was I expecting?! There are a lot of seriously pretty basses on here. It's weird, the first 2 pictures I posted were both am deluxe j's, but I don't know if I'd buy one. The passive tone isn't all that for me, the active circuit is pretty good though.

Having seen so many beautiful jazzes, I think for me it's a choice between black, candy red and sunburst/cherryburst.

I hate to see myself coming and going - so I'd never play a Fender.

If I wanted a J-bass, I'd go for a Dingwall, a G&L M2500 or a Sadowsky. All of these are customizable so you can make it your own.

Now that's interesting...
It has gold coloured Hardware-I don't like gold coloured hardware
It has a flame top-I don't like flame maple tops.
It has a maple board-I don't like maple boards.
It has large position market dots-I don't liek large position market dots.

I think this bass looks really good!

That's easy. I'd have to say my Ibanez SR1200:

It's my cheapest bass, at around 1000 bucks. But the thin neck makes it soooooo nice to play. A tad noisy for my taste whenever blending (I'd like to someday switch the Nordstrand Big Singles for Big Splits). But aesthetically I think it is only beat by the Lakland Marcus Orange.

Agree about matching headstock tho.. speaking of that I forget to attach this @thebrian bass I like. He has many excellent basses, but this one stands out I think...
