Thanks, Max! No battery is the only downside I see. I love TC Electronic gear!

View attachment 3124666 View attachment 3124665 View attachment 3124664 Just got this. Love it. Plenty of I/O flexibility for practice plus DI options. High quality headphone amp will drive phones no problem.
Tech 21 and Darkglass electronics both make some great pre amp/overdrive pedals that have headphone outs now. It’s only on the newest gen stuff though like tech 21 bass fly rig, I think the tech 21 dug pedal does as well, I know all the latest generation Darkglass ultra series pedals have headphone outs. I use the headphone out on my Avalon di for headphone practicing I bought mine used cheaper than some of the options I mentioned above. I’ve also used the headphone out on my zoom q8 video/audio recorder. One other option I’ve used was the digitech jamman stereo. The jamman was pretty cool because it has an aux in you can connect to the headphone out on your phone and it’s a looper so it was super convenient for playing along and learning new songs.Looking for a Great pre amp Practice Head Phone amp, pleas give your thoughts ??

It does with a caveat. If you like playing along with music via the AUX In, it does not maintain stereo like the Phil Jones and many others do. Genz-Benz and Genzler are the same way; they sum the AUX In to mono. The Mesa D-800+ works great as a headphone amp.
