There's something about a "quality" Dano that just seems weird to me. But Jerry made some really nice instruments and honestly, if you like Danelectro, you'll love the JJ.
I dunno if you guys realize this, but Epiphone is a subsidiary of Gibson.
I'm sure you have some reason for not considering them, but if it should be that you don't believe they're not quality instruments well, you're incorrect. My Epi Allen Woody and Gibson SG Supreme are both quite excellent... And I also own US Peavey's, Carvin, G&L, Guild and others, so I'm not particularly biased...
I'm not a fan of the company.
Well, that's fine, we each have our hot buttons. Personally i can't bring myself to spend more than $2-300 on a non-US made instrument. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with 'em, but I guess for bigger money I'd rather a US company got some benefit plus longer term resale will be pretty much guaranteed to be better.
To each his own.
Thread over. Bass boughtn'd. Pics upon delivery.

Congratulations... the Mustang is a great short scale!![]()
Super looking HB, but I wish that they'd offer a range of colors. TSB is so conservative for what is a pretty cool wild design!

And the specs look like a placeholder. "Fret Size: Bound Rosewood. Nut Type: Flat sawn Maple." Huh???![]()

They sure did get the price right on 'em!
So mine must be a cheaper model, since it has metal frets rather than bound rosewood frets? And that cheap plastic nut instead of flat sawn maple! Sheesh![]()
