Here's a photo of my bass with the full scale Elixir strings. You can see a little deflection of the E string but not too bad. It definitely bends around the post ok. So maybe those Ernie ball strings are just extra stiff or something?

Best Strings for Ibanez Mikro Bass GSRM20?

In case it's helpful, the exact strings I used in the photo above are Elixir 14677, so it's a 105 low E string. So if that thing bends, it's kind of strange that something else similar wouldn't.

Thanks again for the tip. That'll be the next string I try, if I can't get the Ernie Ball on it. The string I'm trying to install is 110. Maybe too thick?
Not bad. Similar to a Peavey Millennium 5 I had. I would say it's very usable. Just don't expect it to be like a Dingwall 5!

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. The distance that you stated isn’t a problem on mine. I am able to put the strings on without a problem. There is enough string length to make it. I’m not sure I can explain it other than to say the distance is enough on mine.
Yes, obviously the distance is enough.
The question is how don't they rip apart since the distance to the silk, the threading, is longer than the scale.
If I understand correctly, you are talking about the distance from the ball end of the string to the start of the winding, and you are saying this distance is longer than the scale length of the bass. True -- it has to be longer than the scale length, or else you'd have silk windings on your fretboard.
My mental hurdle is that if the scale is 28.5 then the silk would start at 30?... so that it's all silk on each post (can half be and not stretch out? ... is that my mistake?)
If I may interject, how long is the 760FS-S low E string's full, untapered winding with respect to its tuning post on the Mikro? does the string 1) taper before the post, 2) right at it, or 3) does the last part of the full wrap go around the post, and if so how many turns (or quarters thereof)? Thanks.
Sorry, I don't know how long the winding is. Also sorry but could you explain more about the "taper" thing? Do you mean the string gets thinner? By "full wrap", do you mean the "silk winding?" If I can get some clarification on terminology, I will try my best to respond.
