Calling ALL 'Big Cab' owners, join today and show your support and appreciation of these finest bass cabs! If you have pictures be sure to post as many as you can However, no one is ever turned away from the 'Big Cabs Club' because they lack pictures, so long as they promise to post one or more when they do get some!

Here is my pair of GK 412's. I bought them used and a bit beat up. Stripped the tolex had them sprayed with line-x. Replaced all of the hardware and recovered the grills.

No, but the one I have has 2 HL10-C. I don't know how one bigger driver stands against two, smaller drivers, but the HL10-C is 4ohms, and running parallel, with the impedance of the cabinet, it's about 3ohms. I think you can put two 15" drivers in a Titan.

4 16 ohm drivers because then its all parallel.
4 4 ohm drivers you have to make two series pairs add up to 8 ohms each then parallel those. Because of the way the 10"s are crossed over it is easier if everything is just parallel.
I have also thought about putting some of those car audio 12" subs in the bottom half of the cab just to be silly.

Quote "I am thinking about replacing the 12's with neos. Eminence doesnt sell a 16 ohm 12" neo (already contacted them) So I guess my next stop is paragon, or maybe an oem version?
After all the GK 4X12 neo is 4 ohms."

Yep you're right on the Eminence - but I'm thinking you might consider taking that centre baffle board and cutting a new one for a single 15" The new big 15's can be really caned.

Calaverasgrande - get in touch with Speakerplans in the UK... Invalid Link Removed ....your cab is exactly the sort of cab they have been building and designing for decades. They can tell you what you need. I suspect they will guide you to a top ennd Precision Devices driver. PDs take a lot of punishment - just the job for a W type cab. The 3015s won't like the horn design - they need a reflex cab about 3.5 - 6.5 cu feet - you cab may be bigger than that.

I still have my old Acoustic 402 2x15 cab. I haven't used it in a couple of years cause I finally blew up the speakers. I'll be refurbishing it soon with a pair of 15" neos and a new grillcloth. Should debut this summer. Pics when it's done.

Thats a really cool bro. I see the large port in the bottom, how does it sound/project? What is it loaded with? Did you use birch?

It's made of 3/4" Baltic Birch BB/B grade with pine cross/corner bracing. It's cover in Hercu-liner...the truck bed liner stuff, and edged with 3/4" angle aluminum...and loaded with 6-10" Sheffields.

As far as sound/projection...I like it and when driven by the Eden WT500, well...it will all but disembowel the front 3-5 rows, if need be.;)

Wow I love the look of those cabs. GK should totally do something like that from the factory.

The Cabs look awesome....I'd like to know more about that bass....that looks nice.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

The bass is a Fender 51 reissue body that was routed for a MM style pickup. It has a SD Quarter Pounder in the neck position and a Nordstrand in the bridge position. I changed the fretless neck I got the bass with to a Moses graphite neck with ebony fretboard. The neck is ridiculously skinny and very smooth. The bass weighs a ton and sounds huge.
