I laughed at first, but then started trying to think of something that would fit that description and really laughed. Duelling Banjos might work.Keyboardist: "Ok, we will all stop playing after this little solo bit. You and (drummer) need to do something really funky! Then, I'll signal when to start the next song." **********
Keyboardist: "What was that all about?"
Me: "You said play something funky."
Keyboardist: "I wanted you to play WHITE PERSON funky, not BLACK PERSON funky!"
I suggested we try some songs in a minor key, he replied:
"This song uses a lot of minor keys..LOOK!" he proceed to show me his fingers on the black keys of the piano "see I'm playing the minor keys"
